Don't know if you can or not, but when I sent #2 to school 9 mths ago for the first time, I got more involved with the school itself.

I am lucky to have a "community centre" at our school so a few months before Lachlan started I stared to get a bit more involved in the activites there as they also provided a creche that Ashton could go to. It helped Lachlan really find his way around the school as he was in the creche as well for a few months.

I am now on the parents and friends committee at the school, and the kids enjoy knowing I am close by. I am not there every day although I just about was in the last term of last year. Being on the committee though the meetings are held in school hours, and we get to go to all the assemblies which is usually one every 2 weeks. We also get to drop notes into each classroom as well.

Ashton our last child starts school at the end of next year. I am dreading it!!
