I pretty much have a uniform for each day because I can't stand seeing kids in grotty clothes before they've even started the school day and I am not one for mid week washing. The uniforms invariably get dirty.

I would also wait to see what she wants to wear (usually after seeing what everyone else is wearing) before investing heavily in multiple items. You don't want to be stuck with summer dresses if she only wants to wear skorts or shorts, for instance.
