Ive taught using elements from LETTERLAND, THRASS and JOLLY PHONICS combined. Each has its own list of limitations (in my opinion), therefore I felt it more beneficial for my students (split yr1/2) if I tailored my lessons and LITERACY RESOURCES accordingly to their learning needs and learning style. For some students, whom were really struggling to learn to read past year 2 I used the resource TEACH YOUR CHILD TO READ IN 100 EASY LESSONS on a one-on-one basis (outside of school). Some students responded well, others not so much. The text is very cheap ($35??) and widely available
