Default Working mum and preschool etc

    Hi Everyone,

It's a while away until my little boy starts school, but I'm just curious how preschool, kindergarten etc works with a working mum. Do you have to make separate arrangements for the school holidays, or do preschools run year-round with special programs during 'school holidays'??

We're hoping to send DS to a private pre-school (if that makes any difference), but either way I will have to work, much as I'd love to be a stay-at-home mum!!

    Thanks,
    Bertie

At DD pre-school only runs during term - nothing offered during holidays. You may need to book DS into a holiday program at Daycare or local recreation centres - or find a few babysitters!!!

I worked in a private Early Learning centre (creche, 3yo, 4yo and pre-prep classes) Our hours were 9-3pm Mon to Thursday and 9-12pm Fridays. We also ran holiday programs for these children who parents worked during the school term holidays. We also have before and after care daily until 6pm so fulltime working parents were totally catered for.
