It wasn't full on kicks so much, more like little flutters! The best feeling in the world...............

I am 14 weeks now with my third and i'm sure i feel movement.
It's strange because i have felt it earlier than now too. If i hadn't had a scan to tell me otherwise, i would think i'm further along or there are two in there.
I am also almost 14 weeks and i can feel movement. It is my 3rd baby though.
Hi Ladies,
Can you please tell me what it feels like! I am 15 weeks today!! Hurrah! but I am sure that I am too early to feel anything as bubs is my first, my all last night all i dreamt about was feeling bub move, and for the first night ever so far, i couldnt get too comfie when falling asleep. It felt as though my belly was stretching and it was quite sore when i layed different ways. I feel sometimes like my belly is gurgling and I feel that feeling when you're anxious. Ahhhh.. i dont want to tell my DH and DMother because I dont know if it is real or not!!!!
Will I 'know' when i feel it? How old is the baby when you can see them kicking?
Please help!! [-o<
Pee. With my first baby i didnt even find out till i was 13 weeks. I didnt feel the baby move till i was about 20 weeks. With my second baby i also didnt feel it move till i was approx 20 weeks. This one is different and i think it is because i know what it feels like so when it happens i know what it is .
To feel the baby actually KICK wasnt till i was about 6 1/2 mths and it is the most amazing feeling. Some babies are also more active than others. My son my first baby used to kick me in the ribs and it used to be soooo painful. He also used to do somersaults and you could see his whole body move beneath my skin. It gets all tight but it is amazing. Yet he was the mst placid little boy and he still is very placid and quiet.
My daughter she kicked but didnt move full on as much as my son and she is the active one LOL. It just depends. When the baby kicks for the first time you will feel it and it is very exciting.
Good luck with your pregnancy hope it all goes well for you.
At first I felt butterflies...or like I had bubbles in my belly...now I look down and can see this little bum sticking out right now like a gold ball and rolling around in there.... so I say I first felt movements around 15 weeks but they were very small movements.... I would love to go back to those movements!!!

I was 22 weeks when I first felt movement, that I could definately say was him moving. Like butterflies, yes. Now I get punched or kicked anytime I''m doing anything he doesn't like, leaning forward to type, complaining about getting kicked (that earns me another one, even if I just type it, swear he can hear me thinking!), being in pain for any reason that isn't him, the list just goes on! :)
Once I started to feel him somersaulting and moving strongly, I used to roll onto my back first thing in the morning when I woke up, and he'd have a field day, spinning and turning. Not enough room for him to do that now any more LOL
I started feeling little movements at about 14 weeks, but I wasn't sure at the time if it was baby moving or something else. Felt a bit like a muscle twitch at the time (I know, sounds funny). When I went to my appointment at 15 weeks the midwife assured me I couldn't possibly be feeling anything yet, but now that they have turned into full on kicks I am positive that I did feel movements that early. The big kicks started at about 18-19 weeks for me and are getting stronger by the day. They started out feeling like a little pop in the belly and now they feel so strong sometimes they make me jump! I like the wriggling around the best when I can put my hand on my belly and feel the little bumps slide around as the baby wriggles from one spot to another.

Well I have definately felt Bubs now. After my initial scaredness (lol) I am feeling so reassured when i feel him/her. I only felt a little bit today, but thats okay... sometimes I dont move much either!! I must agree that it is the most beautiful feeling in the whole wide world. Sometimes I just sit and smile and think how crazy and beautiful it is that my body knows how to make this perfect little baby.
My movements are now like my belly doing somersaults so i think i kinda missed the whole fluttering thing!!
I find out on the 7th April the sex and my next OB appointment is 31st March, so I am sooooo very excited.
i felt my first movements at 16 weeks
I first felt baby 4 kick at 18 weeks and 2 days. Only I can feel it as they are like little flicks on the inside of my belly. Dh can't wait till they're strong enough for him to feel.
Cheers michelle
i felt joshua kick at 16 weeks
18 weeks for me. I could feel them before then but being a first timer I didn't really recognise them for what they are.
Felt them last night! So at exactly 15 weeks 0 days! YEAH! Little bubbles popping in my belly. Thought I had felt something a few days earlier, but decided not to say anything just in case I was imagining things.
I didn't even know that it was Jack moving about, I just thought it was one of those things (yeah like you've always got butterfliess flying inside of you...) my SIL pointed it out, talk about a prat.........

Hi, I'm Amanda and this is the first time I've posted. I'm 17 weeks now with my first pregnancy, and I felt little flutters at about 14 weeks...but wasn't sure that it was definitely the baby. At 16 weeks, there was no question about it....there was definite tiny kicks.
I felt my baby move on 21 June 2004. I was 16 weeks 2 days pregnant. It caught me by surprise! I was like "what on earth..." it took me a few days to realise what it actually was!!
This time around 13 weeks along. I woke up thinking someone was tapping on my belly, I laid there for a minute just smiling and feeling and then thought of hubby and called for him, even he felt them but couldn't believe it could do that all ready.
The first pregnancy I felt kicking at 19 weeks and hubby didn't feel it until week 21.

I first felt my baby kick/move at around 14 weeks (a little over I think). This is my first pregnancy. It felt like little bubbles running across my tummy. It was amazing. It was the first time I KNEW for sure I felt it, previous to that I thought maybe I had felt it.... I am now 19 weeks and I can feel the kicks and the pushes.... My husband felt an arm/leg sticking out a week ago and two or three nights ago he felt it move away from his touch. He is looking forward to being able to feel it more often. I am happy to be able to share the movements with him finally.
First real kick against my hand felt from outside only at 20 weeks. Inside sensations still feel more like something turning or twisting inside rather than kicks.
Anterior placenta I should probably add.
Yay, first movement yesterday at 19 weeks 1 day...hadn't been feeling any of the fluttery or bubbly things that people talk about (or maybe I was but didn't know it) then yesterday had big bulge just next to my belly button, like a back or a bum, and some definite wiggling around that could be felt from the outside. What an amazing sensation!
The earliest I felt a proper kick was around week 19. I was asleep, and having one of those nightmares where you are paralysed in terror and can't wake up, and then I felt kick and fluttering movement, and it was strong enough to bring me out of my nightmare, and then he did it one more time whilst I was awake(almost like he was reassuring me it was real!!) It was so cool....
I felt the first flutters around 9/10 weeks this pregnancy ( its my 3rd) and between 10 - 12 weeks for my other two and now at 22 weeks its full on kicks all round!
From what have been told Nae hasn't felt baby kick yet? Should this be a concern at 18wks. As it seems most ppl start to feel the kick from 15-17wks from looks of this forum..
Concerned firsttimedad :-k :-k
I think I have been getting a kick each day for the last 3-4 days. Just one a day, sometimes morning, sometimes at night...
Can't wait for more :)
I felt my first baby at about 18 weeks, but as this is my fourth and i felt this one at 12 weeks definitely roll over,i had to vote under 15 weeks....
My doctor said it was very rare to feel it so early though
I felt first flutters at 17 weeks then gentle kicks at 18w. It was so beautiful. :bellyrub:
firsttimedad, everyone is different. It could be just a week away :) but it will take longer for you to feel it :( ...but when you do there's nothing like it.
Bula!
My PPP (Precious Pregnant Princess) started feeling the infamous "butterflies fying around" at about week 13 or 14, but wasn't sure if it was bubba or not. Definite kicks came at the end of week 15, but I still can't feel anything at the end of week 17.

I haven't felt anything yet. I keep on talking to the baby telling him/her to give me a good hard kick but I haven't felt anything definite yet. I suppose it will happen soon. I keep on getting bigger and the baby moves on the ultrasound so everything must be ok but no kicks.
Rob you aren't alone.
Thanks Morv,
Renae just kepts saying its stubborn like its mother, so all is good especially from our u/s earlier this week, he seems to be moving around freely enough and moving them little limbs of his, all is good. Just can't wait for Nae to say put your hand here and feel it...oh well, soon after that no doubt I'll be holding our little bundle of joy with glee... :D

Finally! I can say that I can feel little Nobba kicking now. The bubbly feelings have probably been kicking but this morning I felt the little blighter kick with my hand!! YAY!
So, I am one of the late bloomers - 22 weeks and 2 days before I can definitely say Little Nobba kicked.
WHOO HOO!!

Guess what!!!! bout half an hour ago I fely quickening, am positive. Was a strange kinda popping/tapping sensation, never felt anything like it! I thought it was too early, but have been reading on internet and it is possible to feel it at this stage, I am so excited I could explode!!!
so that was 14w 4days.
spoke to mother in law who was a midwife for 20 years and she said that some women feel it as early as 12 weeks.
Yay Min! Glad you have felt it so early (and not at 22 weeks like me - though I am sure I was feeling something sooner now).
Enjoy it! It's coooool!
I felt some flutters at 10 weeks; this is my second pregnancy and I'm feeling movement a lot earlier than the first (just reminded me to go fill in my baby record book!)
it was 20 weeks for me - and i was getting quite impatient!!!!
I've been feeling the stretching and stuff for a few weeks now, had that butterfly feeling for the last week and on Monday, after a rude and stressful phone call with a guy at work who made my blood boil ... after I hung up and tried to calm down the baby did a flip to let me know it wasn't happy about it either! Was so cool ... calmed me down real quick though and made me excited. :D
Now I just sit and wait all the time for something else to happen!
I just wish this week would go quicker ... we have our first anti-natel appointment at the clinic at hospital on Tuesday and another u/s on the Friday! So can't wait!
I am now 19weeks nearly 20 weeks and i got my quickening in the supermarket when i was 14 weeks and i nearly passed out my mum found it quite funny.
Now Peanut is a true wiggle bum especially at night and te docs keep having trouble finding the heart beat because its moving too much.
Have a great day
Mel :D
