Morning all!!!
Co sleeping seems to be working a charm. we are getting nearly 6 hours out of Lach now. Cheeky little bugger.
Now if only he would feed properly EVERY feed. We are slowly getting there. Thankgoodness. There are the odd crappy days, but nowhere near as bad as last week!
Only thing is he wont let me gt anything done:( He just cries and cries if I leave the room, adn then if im in the room, if I havent touched him or picked him up for 5 mins, he cries again.
Today I have wayyyyy too much washing to do, so he may have to go 5 mins crying without me there. I hate leaving him to cry but I worry he is getting wayyy to dependant on me being at his every beck and call.
Anyways, best be off... got a couple of things to look at on here, then Ibetter get stuck into that washing!!! its not raining anymore!
Have a good day. No doubt I'll be back to check on you all:)
-
Nicky I know what you mean about being dependant on you, I am the same. KAetlyn will only sleep with me during the day on the lounge- otherwisae she just naps for 20 mins or so in the rocker or on her lambs wool.
Nicky and Rebecca- can I add you both, eventhough I am not from bendigo?? :p. Its funny that you are on par with ballarrat, cause thats where I keep thinking you are both from..... baby brain.
Mel-no contraception forme here yet, we've used condoms, but thats it so far- will ask my ob tomorow at my checkup. I dont really want much as I am enjoying no hormones from being on the pill for so many years. Dont want anything long term also as we are planning on 2/3 more bubbas (aaron said well stop at 4 if we dont have any boys before then)!!! I am hopping number 3 will be a boy... but thats a long time away.
V- yeah on the wedding plans... it is so exciting.... next year will be a bit of a bummer and wont top this year off.... the birth of beautiful Avaleigh and your wedding.... goodluck with the rst of the plans.
Well best be off now- have to bath Kaetlyn, bath me, express and then head out for my 'pampering' of full body massage and facial (MIL baby shower present). She was ment to baby sit but I couldnt get in for ages on a sat and the voucher expired yesterday  will have to go out again soon so she can sit for us.
BTW- Kaetlyn is 2 months old today:D:D
She is growing oh so quickly
Oh almost forgot, with aaron on dummy duty last night I got to sleep about 11  which is early for me cause I usually get to bed about 12-1 waiting until she is alseep before I head to bed myself. She woke up at 6am:p:p for her feed.
-
hey sara, yeah sure u are more than welcome to add me to msn.. and that goes for anyone:)
I have had a little bit of success, Lach settled himself before, and slept for half an hour. he's woken up again tho:(
hehe
I am jealous of all u girls having already DTD... I am much much to scared!!! lol!!
I think it will be another 6 weeks before we even attempt it here!!!
lol
-
:cry::cry: Aaron just said that we both need to go on the Tony Fergerson Diet again :cry::cry:
I think I will join the gym tomorrow even though cant really afford it at the moment :(
-
Hey everyone! I am still around!!
Been very busy and have a little one in my arms so will post later but just thought I would let you know Nicky & Bec that I added you to Msn.
-
Hey everyone,
Nicki - it's good that the co-sleeping is working for you. And fingers crossed that Lachlan's feeding techniques improve soon too, cos it's sooo frustrating otherwise.
V - the wedding stuff is so exciting. It must have been so much fun to have had your sister over there when you were trying on dresses. Can't wait to see the sneaky photos!
Sara - the weight issue is so hard. I need to lose quite a bit too (which in fairness, is pre-pregnancy issues), but also can't afford a gym membership. Although at this point in time, not sure how I'd get to the gym anyway, Liam's routine is so non-routine it would be impossible. We just try to get out for a walk when I can, even if it's just to the supermarket.
Well, Liam has finally cracked 5kg, so I have officially graduated him to the next size up in nappies. Which is working quite nicely for him, so far no where near the poo escapes as we've been having with the Newborn size nappies. The bad news is that the paed confirmed infant eczema, and it's spread quite a bit over the last couple of days. He has one really angry spot on his left temple, which just doesn't seem to be reacting to anything I put on it - so far have tried Dermaveen & Dermeze. It's so frustrating, because I know from personal experience that finding something that will fix it can take ages & a lot of trial and error. And it looks awful, although doesn't appear to be bothering him too much at this stage, which is a good thing.
Anyway, he's yelling now, so I'd better go & play the "guess what Liam wants" game. It should be food, given that he's just woken up from a 2.5 hour sleep and really only stuffed around with food this morning, so should be starved, but true to form, he just plays with the boob & then screams until I sit him up. It's an exhausting game, and not that much fun for either of us.
-
HI all,
Good on you guys who have DTD - very jealous in deed. I am a long way off...considering I just had a bit of scar tissue burnt off yesterday....hurt like hell!!! So that is another week, plus i am still having the pulling down feeling and can't stand for that long.
Just a quickie as Olivia is stirring but want to ask some questions.....are any of your bubba formula fed? Olivia is...I still give her a bit of breast milk but weeding. Well she throws up so much formula!! She will take 200ml cause if I try to give her less she cracks it. But I had her sitting up for ages at all day feeds and she just keeps throwing up!! Breast milk is not too bad (makes it harder for me the fact I am weening).
Also, what are some of your feeding times? Olivia goes from 8/8:30pm - 5am; 5am-8:30/9:00 and 3 1/2 hours from then. But at her age (11weeks) should I be making sure she eats every 4 hours and not 3 1/2? But then if I do that I can't get her to eat before 8:30 and DH and I like to have her in bed by then IYKWIM???
Sorry self obsorbed post today, been at the hospital with this thing so no time to read a lot of posts...but still you go girls DTD LOL
-
hey everyone!
Another busy day for us. We went to the Perth meet today. It was fun! Nice and sunny and the park we went to had an awesome play ground! Got a bit of a headache cause didnt really eat or drink much today. Planning to relax the rest of the day.
Avaleigh slept from 10pm - 5.30am!! An awesome sleep I think. I did need to express after her feed this morning and got a whopping 160mls
oh my head hurts even more.. I am going to lay down, I hope avaleigh goes to sleep!
-
Hi everyone,
Just checking in, will be back later too catch up.
But quickly, Flossie, every 3.5 hours is fine I think on formula. I'm not sure as I 5didn't use formala for Charlize until she was about 5-6 months old. She is sleeping great guns though, so I would just keep going with what your doing, it sounds as though your doing a great job.
-
Hi all,
I did a big post at the end of the last thread so this is just a quicky from me.
Flossie like Mel said it sounds like you are doing the right thing with Olivia. I am feeding Charlotte every 3 - 4 hours during the day and then she sleeps thru the night before I feed her again. Our routine goes something like this feed 6.30pm in bed and asleep by 7.00pm then I give her a quick 5 minute feed at 9.30pm where she doesnt wake up then she goes until some where between 5 and 6am when I feed her again and then I go roughly 3 - 4 hourly after that. Our routine is quite fluid in that some times I feed her early sometimes she goes a bit longer it just depends on what we are doing.
Mel - I have been meaning to ask you how Charlize eczema is? We got our special cream in the post a couple of days ago and I cant really tell yet if it is making any difference to the boys skin. I know one thing - we are alomst through the jar already so if it does happen to help we are going to go through it really quickly!
V - big big yay for Avaleighs sleep.
Hi everyone else
BBL
Jem
-
Jem, that cream did pretty much nothing for her eczema. But it was really really bad at the time I started to use it. She is on her second tube of a really low dose steroid cream, and just recently I have started to notice a difference. It's still there just not as dry and scabby, just red and still a little rough to tough. It still itches her though, but I think that might be more out of habit than it being itchy IYKWIM. My doc said once I have used the second round of cream, that the natural creams should be enough to keep under control, I hope so. I did find another cream on the internet called XMA. It comes with a 100% money back guarantee, so I though what the hell, we have nothing to loose apart from the eczema, so will try this one as well. Have the boys ever tried using the low dose steroid cream? I was a little worried to use it at first, but I thought it's better than her suffering so much. Still worries me though, but my doc said that it's the lowest strength cream there is.
Flossie, Jack's routine is all over the place ATM while he is sick. But usually he is like this. Feed at 7pm, bath at 8:30pm, feed at 9:30 then bed, wake between 4-5am feed, sleep until approx. 6am then feed every 2-4 hours during the day, depending how much of a gusts he wants to be. I think he may be going through another growth spurt ATM as he is wanting to feed every 2 hours, and is waking at 3am instead of around 5am, but I think his cold is the reason for this.
Veronica, glad to hear you had a fun day at the park. What a great sleep Avaleigh had, what a clever girl.
Hi to everyone, not much time tonight.
On a selfish note, I got antibiotics today for Jack and I, so hopefully we will be on the mend soon. I don't want to give them too him, I just don't want him to suffer any longer.
We are going shopping tomorrow for alot things for our new house. There is alot we need to get, as we are going from a 2 bed to a 5 bed house, and we are leaving behind our tele, entertainment system and fridge. So watch out shops here comes Mel, I sooooo love to shop, but who doesn't.

Hi all,
Nicki, Xavier is being so clingy latley that this morning I brought him to the computer with me and read all the post out to him to keep him quite.
Sara, of course you can add me to MSN, all are welcome too, i'm not fussy I don't mind where you live  I'm so jealous of your massage, sounds great and yay for your big sleep. So what time did katelyn and your hubby get to sleep though?
Hi danielle, glad to hear your still around. I was hoping the danielle I accepted was someone I knew:lol:
Jan & Sara, I can't spare $$ for gyms, but I'm not that comfy going to one either. I'm just trying to get out of the house for a walk every day. I figure it's good for the psychie (sp) as well, and a bit of fresh air can't be bad for Xavier.
Good news on liam cracking the 5kg, bugger on the eczema, I heard somewhere that dairy in your diet can affect eczema, does any one know how true this is??
Flossie, ouchy you poor thing, I'm sure at the end of it all everything is going to be super!! Sorry were not using formula and a few weeks younger too so I'm no help there, and I am demand feeding as well, all I know is that formula feeding is generally more structured. But I agree with mel, sleeping is fantastic at your house, dare I say if it ain't broke, don't fix it??
Veronica, yay 7.5 hours next stop 8!! Good job.
Well our day consisted of babysitting my 2 nieces. My sis was only gone for about an hour or so, so the younger one was aslepp thank god!! I just had to contend with a 3 yo who wanted to watch shrek 2 but wouldn't sit still :wall: then wonders why she hurt herself when she was being silly. Oh well, Xavier was mesmerized by her and gave her some big smiles when she stroked his head. she was very gentle, i think it might have tickled.
well night all, Xavier went to bed at about 8 so fingers crossed he keeps on with his big sleeps and we don't here from him till 3 at the earliest, I'm hoping for hmm 5 would be nice.
-
Mel - we have tried a steriod cream on the boys. We saw a dermatologist for Oliver nearly a year ago and I have made another appointment with him in a couple of weeks time as I just cant seem to keep it under control. I cant remember the name of the cream the dermatologist prescribed as we have only recently run out. Let me know how you go with the XMA cream. Like you I am willing to try anything! I hope the antibiotics make you and Jack feel better really really quickly - being sick is awful isnt it. Lucky you going on a shopping spree for your new house. Have fun and spend up big!!

Hi everyone
Wow, this thread is busy today! I haven't had time to post recently as I have been busy with study (handed in an assignment tonight - hope I pass - its so hard with baby brain).
This evening I put Diana in her rocking chair, turned on a Harry Potter DVD and left her to it. She watched it fascinated for about an hour before falling asleep! It enabled me to get the dishes done. Yay. Nicki - if Lachlan has a chair that you can sit him in, maybe this will work for you too (although Diana is a little older, so maybe not yet...) Have you tried carrying him in a sling while doing housework? It works for me sometimes...
Anyway, I am going to update Diana's site now. Hope you all have a good night. BBL.

OMG - I feed Liam at 9pm last night, he was in bed by 10, AND HE"S STILL ASLEEP!!! He is a little gem. Mind you, I've been up at 1am, 3am, 5am to check if he's still breathing, but not a stir from him at all. I've come down with the horrid cold that seems to be going around, so maybe he knew something was up & decided to give me a break. Either that, or he's sick too (which is probably more likely, given his dependency on me), guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. My bosoms are about to explode though, so just sterilizing the expressing stuff so that I'm ready to go. woo hoo - here's hoping it's the start of something regular!
-
Jan - YAY for the massive sleep!! Lets hope that it does turn in to something regular. Avaleigh is having massive sleeps so maybe Liam is starting too!!
Avaleigh had a massive feed yesterday at 6pm, she had both sides plus 40mls from a bottle and I think she could have had more too! She ended up sleeping from 7pm to 3am  LOL I wish she did that from 9 or 10pm. I tried waking her up at 10pm for a 'dream feed' but NOPE she didnt want to have anthing to do with it! I then woke up at 2am to see if she was awake or still breathing.
Well better get a move on and have some breakfast and out for a nice morning walk!
-
Hi everyone...hope you are all well. From the sounds of it, everyone's bubs are sleeping for good lengths so that is great :) Alessia has had good sleeps 2 nights in a row, so I'm hoping it continues. We had the obstetrician and paediatrician appts yesterday and all is well, although b/c I have a low milk supply, it seems that Alessia's weight gains aren't enough (in case she gets sick). So the paediatrician has recommended I take Maxalon to boost my supply...we'll see what I do. It's got me down a little bit, but I'm sure I'll get through this.
We still haven't DTD yet...wanted to wait til yesterday's checkup and then last nite, I was zonked. So Flossie, don't worry hun...you're not the only one!
Take care everyone *hugs*
-
Hi all,
Zofia, the tv is great huh!! Xavier like it also, but not if he's already too cranky or having a cuddle day.
Jan, Yay on the long sleep. Isn't it annoying when you still wake up though. I hope Liam isn't sick, and sorry to hear you are. Lol I had to change our sheets last night 'cause I leaked all over them on Wednesday nigh.
Jan, Veronica and Fran, I hope you all start getting some nice long regular sleeps.
Aw Fran you poor thing. Is there other things you can do to boost the supply. Like tricking your bbs with expressing ??? I've been expressing 1 bottle everynight after he goes to bed and I didn't do it the other nite then at 4am I felt like I was going to explode.
Well I got nothing here. Very boring morning
-
Fran- I was reading on BB that if you take aktavite it increases your supply the next day- you buy it from suppermarkets near the milo. I know expressing increases mine. poor kaetlyn had been sprayed at the last couple of morning cause ive been expressing after she has gone to bed and by morning, my Boobies are as hard as steel and poor thing cant empty them!
Zofia and Bec- We love the TV here to! even when we face Kaetlyn away from it she turns her head to see it! Even though she looks nothing like her father she sure has got his TV habits!!!
Well Kaetlyn has been moving around heaps- she now somehow manourveres herself off her shepskin off the rug and ends up on the wooden floor- not sure how, but she finds it hilarious and is always laughing when I go to rescue her. I guess well have to start making sure her straps are done up on the ricker shen we leave her in it. Who knows where she will end up!!!
Congrates on the big sleeps for the bubbas- hope you are all catching up on sleep while they are having big ones as well.
Well off to hopefully finish this gown (ive been precrastinating cause it is the easy bits to do now and i know it wont take long)!!! will post a piccy when its done. I brought a cute little pink dress for afterwards yesterday, but i think it might be to big. will try it on at the next 'outfit change'.
-
Thanks Sara - I have been drinking Aktavite (1 glass a day cos don't want to do dairy overload) but haven't found it made much difference. I'm always worried when I put Alessia down for the night, that she will wake up soon after and need a feed so that makes me not want to pump...ah it's a vicious circle!
-
Fran - I could be wrong on this, but I think that I've read that it's virtually impossible to run out of milk supply, as baby feeding triggers creation of more milk anyway. If you keep your fluids up (ie plenty of water), then if Alessia did want to feed soon after you've expressed, you'd probably be okay. I'm trying to build up a store of EBM for the wedding we have to go to, and also struggle to find the "right" time to express, given that Liam wants to eat whenever it's inconvenient, so I sometimes just do a small amount (ie 20 mls from each), just to keep things going. Maybe this would help you to build up your supply?? without draining you in case Alessia does want a feed straight after.
I'm super impressed at any of you who are considering DTD. The most we can manage is the "go to bed" step, we're both just so tired atm. Last night we were both in bed by 8.30 - pathetic!! At least we're both on the same page I guess, must be hard when one wants it & the other doesn't. Hopefully we'll get our act back together one day though.
-
hey everyone! Just uploaded pics of my wedding dress up on... Wedding - BellyBelly Member Photo Gallery
-
Hi all,
Sara, You have a little mover and shaer there, I love that she thinks it's funny. Xavier is a very serious baby, but he's a little younger than katelyn. I hope he starts laughing and smiling more.
Can't wait to see this dress!!
Fran, you could try having your activite with soy milk. the activite will overpower the soy taste iykwim. Don't worry if you express and then she needs some more milk, you can always give her what you have expressed. Have you noitced any patterns in her sleep. Or like jan said even a little bit in between each feed. I do just like sara does and wait until xavier goes to bed each night. He has really fallen into a pattern that once he goes to bed after tea that's his long sleep, even if it's as short as 5 hours.
night all, heres to weekend sleepins

Hi ladies
Im going to type as fast as i can tonight as ethan keeps demanding my attention!!
Veronica- WOW!! Your Wedding Dress is gorgeous, Im so excited for you:) Not long to go now! What a nice sleep avaleigh had lastnight hopefully she will get the timing right soon.
Fran- Hi hun, glad everything wnet well with the OBs and paed yesterday. Sorry to hear your still having some supply problems, unfortunately im no help there my supply was fantastic, ethan just didnt want it! Hopefully the maxalon helps, if you take it. I took maxalon all through my pregnancy to help my m/s!
Bec, Zofia & Sara- Lol, loving the TV here at the moment to!! Ethan loves music, so he is usually quiet when Australian Idol is on!!
Jan- Sorry to hear you have the flu. What a great sleep from Liam, what a good boy! Yes hopefully it is the start of something regular :) I constantly check on ethan if he sleeps longer than usual too, not that it happens very often! Im with you on being to tired to DTD lol these days its like bed is only for sleeping!! I still feel pretty bruised down there too (sorry TMI!!). I am currently Out Of Order for a while longer!!
Well as for me im feeling pretty good tonight, still exhausted though but it wont last forever, i hope lol! And AF has returned! Damn lol. could have waited a little longer!
Ethan is doing well, he had his immunisations on wednesday, it was so sad, my mum came with me and she held ethan while he had the injections, i couldn't do it  i felt too mean, poor little man was asleep when they did the first one and his little face screwed up and he dropped his bottom lip and cried  only for a few secs though, he fell asleep before they did the other one too so it was the same again. He had panadol 1/2hr before having them. Unfortunately the immunisations caused him to get a fever and his temp got up to 39.5 degrees so i had to to take him to the hospital at 4.30 thursday morning and they put him on a drip for 2hrs as he wouldnt feed & got a bit dehydrated then they let us go home at 7am when his temp reached 37 and by 10pm lastnight his temp was back to 36.4 YAY! And he has been a very smiley boy all afternoon, Even when he bumped his head on the floor!! I went to the toilet while he was laying on his play gym and when i came back he had wriggled his way across the floor and just as i reached down to pick him up his head fell foward and bumped on the floor.
Any way ladies I am being "called" rather loudly as its feed time, so will hopefully pop back tomorrow.
Goodnight :)
Hope you all get some sleep. I wish ethan would sleep longer than 3.5hrs!!

Tears ~ Poor Ethan, that must have been so scary for you. Lucas is due next week for his vacc’s. Good to hear that he is all better now.
Squishee ~ Glad to hear the co sleeping is working well, how is his feeding now? Sounds like your little one loves his cuddles. It’s amazing how at such a young age their personalities really show. Lucas has the odd day when all he wants is to be cuddled, but usually after being spoilt by his dad on the weekends so mondays are always tragic here.
When we were co-sleeping Lucas slept up on our bed, but in a baby carrier. He also slept in it during the day on the couch; I could just pick him up and move him. Maybe something like this could be handy for you as you can snuggle them in really well to sleep, but have them close enough so they know that your there. It would also be handy to put into the big cot. I was given mine but I've seen them at target.
Ngala ~ LOVE THE DRESS! And wow at the amount of milk Avaleigh is drinking! She must be growing into a big strong girl.
Rebecca ~ Very jealous of your abundant sleep. Please do share your tips!
Jemima ~ Hope you are feeling better hun, I bet you will be on your feet and well again in no time.
Mel ~ I’m not on any contraception but I do have a prescription for the mini pill. I was going to wait until AF to arrive to take it but I'm undecided as I'd also like to chart my cycle again for natural birth control, but I need AF to show up first for that too. So haven’t quite decided. I wouldn’t mind falling pregnant again though, not that I really should so soon, but if it were to happen I’d be happy.
Blueflower ~ lol dummy duty that’s great, hope you had a good rest. That’s such a cute pic of Kaetlyn in your ticker, what a beautiful smile!
Janno ~ I’m usually in bed my 7.30pm! Nice to meet you and your big boy Liam! Lucas is only 3.7kg (his corrected age is 4 weeks) but it already seems as if we could go up in nappy sizes!
Flossie ~ Lucas is mostly FF and breastfeeds once or twice a day still. The book Save Our Sleep by Tizzie Hall explains how you can adjust the times by 10 minutes to make up the time???…way too complicated for me but you might be interested as everything sounds like its going so well for you so you may find it easy. The longest stretch Lucas usually sleeps at anytime is between 7pm bedtime and 12am. Then he wakes at 2am and 4 am and always has ever since we brought him home! I don’t really mind too much but it would be good to get through with one less feed at least!!
On the home front...
Everything is well here, I've been getting into the gardening and enjoying the sun and things being more settled after a crazy few weeks. I've also been tackling the things around the house that I've been putting off for ages, and catching up with little things I have not finished like sending off the thank you cards which I need to do!!
Hope everyone is well and *big love*. I have not posted for a bit but I've been reading all the updates and it sounds like there is lots of things to look forward too, like the weddings! I also have msn if anyone would like to add me feel free.
I really should try and go back to bed!
night!

Hi Everyone :)
Here's hoping your all having a wonderful saturday. Its very quiet in my house at the moment but i will enjoy it and not complain too loudly!!
Well unfortunately my wish for Ethan to sleep longer than 3.5hrs lastnight did not happen....he woke up every 2 instead!! Lol but he wasnt sad or grumpy when he was awake he would just have his bottle, nappy changed a little cuddle and back to bed, so he was awake for 45mins - 1hr each time. Suprisingly though i feel great, only a little tired. Ethan is asleep now, has been for 1/2hr not sure how long he will sleep for but he was awake for 2.5hrs before he did go to sleep.
I had to go to the loo earlier and ethan was wide awake so i popped him in the nursery under his play gym and turned the music on and was expecting him to cry by the time i shut the door but he didnt and 1hr later he was still happily laying there playing and talking!!! He has never done that before:clap: But then he got tired and had enough so i changed his nappy, put him in his cot and off to sleep he went. He really has been an angel today. Just hoping he wont sleep for hours and not want to go to sleep tonight.
I just ate a very late lunch while i did this and now im going to go do some house work and hopefully i will get most of it done while ethan is sleeping. The house work has been pretty neglected lately Lol!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and i hope you all get some nice sleeps.

Hi girls...just a quick one from me b/c the lap top battery is about to die. I had a routine pap smear at my 6 week checkup and since then have had about 2 1/2 days of bleeding. Not heavy like a period, but definitely enough to require a pad. I'm not sure whether this is AF or just routine bleeding after a pap smear. The bleeding is very reduced today, which would be unusual if it was AF. Just wanted to see for those of you who've also had a pap smear, whether you had significant bleeding.
Hope you're all having great weekends! As tired as I am, I can't complain about Alessia's 8 hour sleep last night :)

Hey everyone!!
HAPPY TWO MONTHS OLD AVALEIGH!!! hehehe I cant believe my little girl is already 2 months old!! Time flys by way too quickly!! We're going out for lunch today so I am going to put Avaleigh in this cute dress that mum bought her!
We had people round for a BBQ last night and I had my first drink in over 2 yrs!! I felt it by the second drink hahaha I made sure I expressed out enough milk for Avaleigh and then I was on the couch at 10pm expressing more out and dumping it!! Avaleigh slept til 5am this morning which was great but then woke up at 6.30am - sure does not know that Sundays are for sleeping in!!
Fran - I was meant to get a pap smear at my 6wk checkup but chickened out! LOL I need to go soon.. I doubt it would be AF, maybe your cervix is just really senstive from after the birth but not sure!
I need to go in and Avaleigh's shots this week.. not looking forward to it!! Hopefully she will be a brave girl and it not faze her at all.
-
Hi all,

hi all
Veronica, love the dress. I think it will be great on you, and looks perfect for a summer wedding. Happy 2 months to avaleigh, wow time goes fast doesn't it? It feels great to have a proper grown up outing huh?
Jessikah, Sorry to hear that Ethans immunisations wern't much fun. I don't know how I'm going to react yet :} I'm a little worried i won't be able to hold myself together. But I am definetly stoping to get some baby panadol before he has them just in case. I hope he starts sleeping longer for you soon.
August moon mum, I have no secrets, I just do as I'm told by Xavier. He says his hungry I feed him, he says his tired I put him to bed. He does not like sleeping while there is daylight, yet anytime after about 6ish if he goes to sleep he will then go for 5-8 hours. I think he just knows it's sleeping time. One thing I do do is that he only wears wondersuits at night. They are his jamies.
Fran yay for the big sleep. I have not had a pap smear because I had one last august. That smear did bring on af though so maybe if it was close the pap smear did something, but maybe as verronica said things are still a little sensitive.
Sara, Great job on the gown, it looks fantastic. I'm sure she will look beautiful in it and you will be able to cherish the dress and pass it down when she has her own kids.
Well so far so good this weekend. Xavier still sleeps at night, just can't get him to sleep in his bed during the day. Plan to perserveer a little next week and maybe structure a sleep time in for every morning and afternoon. Problem is he falls asleep on me after every feed.

AHHHH I think I am going to rip my hair out today!! Avaleigh has been VERY FUSSY at the boob today!! She has been feeding every 2 hours and only for 5 mins or so because she gets annoyed and starts crying. I hope that this is just a growth spurt and she will settle back down cause I am seriously thinking about giving up breast feeding if she continues like this. I know its probably silly to think like that but it really makes me uptight and I dont look forward to feeding her! Jason does think she is a lot bigger today so maybe it is a growth spurt....

Hi ladies,
Again don't have much time, but just thought I'd pop in to say a quick hello.
Veronica, hugs to you babe. I'm sure it's just the fustration talking. We get some of those day too around a growth spurt. We are going through another now. Jack is waking up earlier and wanting to feed non stop all day. I just keep telling myself he will be back to normal in a day or two. Hang in there hun, your doing a great job. Maybe just try to relax and use it as an excuse to laze around for a day or two. Oh and Happy 2 months birthday Avaleigh. Can you believe Jack will be 3 months in a few days!!!!!
Rebecca, sounds as though you have on very content little man there, but I know it's cause he has a great mum.
Fran, I haven't had a pap smear this time. But I remember having one done at my 6 weeks post checkup after having Charlize. And from what I can remember it made me bleed heavier for a few days. I still hadn't stopped spotting from giving birth, but it definately did get heavier.
Sara, the gown is beautiful, your a pro. What date is the christening?
Jessikah, I'm sending lots and lots of hugs your way. I know you might not believe this, but things do get better. And I just want to tell you that I think your doing a wonderful job, and your a fantastic mummy. I know with me, I sometimes let my fustrations get the better of me. But I always keep trying to remember to tell myself when I'm nearly at breaking point, that it's just the fustration that is making me feel like I can't do anything right. That is my best advise hun, just take each day one at a time. You never know what tomorrow might bring. We all have a good days and our bad. Take care of yourself hun, and I'll have my fingers crossed that Ethan starts to sleep better soon.
A_m_m, yey for getting some time to spend outside. Can you enjoy some of the sunshine for me too. I haven't had time to scratch my bum lately, with this house and DH uni and all. I can't wait until it's all over. Have I told you before, we conceived Jack before AF returned. We were trying for a small age gap, but we just thought it would take a little longer. But we were thrilled when I got a positive result. Oh I hope you have one soon, I really miss the excitement of a pregnancy, he he he.
I have updated the kids website, if you want to look. I sold our fish tank today, and took our fish to the aquarium to get credit for. I can't wait until we get settled in our new house and we can get a bigger one. I miss having them to look at already. I have had alot of shopping to do lately, with things for the house. Today I spent nearly $1000 at bunnings. Bought a mover, blower/vac, snipper etc. Still got alot more to get too, I LOVE SHOPPING.
Anyway, I'm off it was only meant to be a quick one, Doh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey everyone!!
today is a new day so lets hope that Avaleigh is going to feed better cause it was really doing my head in yesterday. She did manage to sleep from 9pm to 6am!! Thats a massive sleep. I checked on her at 3.30am when a storm went through and she was still asleep
Mel - We've gotten rid of two tanks in the past 3 months and are now just left with the saltwater tanks. So happy we got rid of the freshwater cause Jason was just over it and not cleaning it!
Wel better go see Avaleigh, she's awake in her cot

Hi all,
Veronica, sorry to hear avaleighs fussy, but I'm sure she'll come around. Yay on the great sleep though. Lots of food and needing big long sleeps sound a lot like the hard work of a growth spurt, I'm sure she will come good again with the feeding.
Mel Thanks, but I think we are all great mummies, we just need to be reminded so Every mum is a great mum!
I love shopping too, isn't it even better when you have an excuse to go crazy and not feel guilty about how much you have spent. Enjoy making your purchases and playing with your new toys ;)
Well tried a little over the weekend to get Xavier to sleep during the day the best I could do was he was content to stare at the walls in the cot at mums house for about half an hour. Then the craziest thing has happened. Xav slept heaps last night, but had 2 little breaks 15-30 mins at 2am and then at 5.30am. He then slept till about 8.30-9ish. all up about 13 hours so far. he was up for about an hour and after just one little grizzle has happily gone back to bed for almost an hour now. I'm stoked, and shocked, and I just heard a grizzle lol well can't complain:lol:

V - Love the dress!! When is the wedding again, Sorry I am so forgetful!!
I am so bad at doing personals sorry!! I will try hard this week.
Rebecca - I have a bit of trouble getting Olivia to sleep during the day also. She has broken sleeps which I suppose is better than nothing. I shouldn't complain as at least its not the night time she has trouble. Hope he gets better, its all trial and error really isn't it?
Mel - have fun shopping!! Do some for me, its still sore for me to walk around and stand up for too long so haven't been on a good shop for ages :( Went to get a friends son's birthday present the other day and had to shop really fast so I could get back home to sit down :( Its improving a little though. My DH wants to buy a new house soon so I hope to have fun house shopping soon. When do you move?
Pap Smear - OMG with all the dramas I have had down there that is the last thing I want to get, but then the cervical place sent me a letter saying its over due :( I am going back to the Dr on Wed so will tell her, she may do it then but I am over having things shuffed up there sorry TMI
August Moon - thanks for that! I might give that book a try.
On a me front, Olivia is doing well although she hasn't pooed since Thursday night!!! She has had 2-3 forumlas a day, she is on Karicare Gold and I just hope that is not the problem. She isn't in pain so I don't think she is constipated. I am having issues with her formula feeding as she throws SO much of it back up. Yesterday at her midday feed I went through 2 bibs and they were both covered in spew :( My parents go away overseas on Saturday for 4 weeks so that will be a shock to the system as I speak to them almost every day. Dad told me only emergencys as it will cost too much to call them all the time :)
Well, must go and do some stuff before Livvie wakes from her very light sleep ;)
Floss xx

Veronica, I forgot to tell you, I think your dress is beautiful, the bodice looks alot like the bodice on my wedding dress, but he skirt is completely different. I can't wait to see pics of you in it on your wedding day:dance:
Flossie, you poor thing hun, your still now fully healed:redface:. Your a trooper that's for sure. We hope to move at the start of november. We have bought a new house and the tenants move out of there on the 26th of september, but we can't move in until we sell this place, so hoping for a contract to go unconditional before we can celebrate and plan on moving for sure. Our new place is about 100m up the road from where we are now;)
Well you won't believe this, but my little (not),boy now weighs 7.1kg. What a little porker hey! I nearly fell over, when we popped him on the scales. And he is now 63.5cm long. I looked back at Charlizes chart and she was 7.1 kg at her 6 month check in and 65cm long. Give him another few months and he will be as big as her:p I looked ahead in my baby book and Jack weights only 900gm less than the average 6 month old boy, and only 4.5cm shorter. He is going to be one big boy!!
Must be off, take care all.

Hi everyone,
How are you all I am doing really well.
V, the dress is gorgeous. Although I don't personally know you from chatting to you all these months it seems as though it really suits your personality!
Fran, I can ver ymuch understand your situation I had the same thing happen where Noah was pretty much putting on no weight I eventually had to start giving Noah formula top ups and I was taking tablets to increase my supply feeding every time then topping Noah up and then expressing etc etc and many appts and anyway none of it worked for me so I have now switched to just formula feeding. And I know that in Noah's case it was definitely the best thing for him (he was in special care on the night of his birth and needed to be tube fed etc) anyway I hope you can increase your supply and breastfeed if that is what you want. I was also taking a supplement called fenugreek (7 tablets a day) you can buy it with all the multivitamins thats what the CHN recommended to me to try before maxalon because it's natural.
I personally never thought I would formula feed I didn't even think of it as a remote option and I certainly never thought I would have a low supply, apparently it often happens with women that had gestational diabetes.
If you are feeling guilty or upset about the situation you can talk to me about it if you want because I understand.
Hope you are all doing well, my mind has wandered off so I will end my post here but I'll be back soon to chat.
Oh I also forgot I got my first AF the other day, what a disappointment and shock after so long without AF!!
-
Wow Mel, that is Big!!
Kaetlyn got weighed at the doctors today, and she is 5.64kg, so i was happy with that- she seeems to be continuing on the 200gm per week mark.
We had immunisations today :( she was okay, but still managed to smile at the doctor after 2 needles and the one in her throat! She screamed after the needles, but nothing a dummy and hugs from mum didnt fix!!!
Now she is bringing up most of her feeds in thick white milk. My aunt said its becuase her stomach has been upset- from the panadol also. I hope it stops soon, i feel sorry for her.... and for me bacause of the extra washing that I will have to do!!!!
Has anyone else experienced this?
Well I am off to sew again.... sew bottuns back on clothes that seemd to be dropping off all the time.
Hope you are all well.

Hi all
Flossie, this sounds so weird in my head as I type but I hope you get some poo soon. I don't blame you on not wanting the papsmear after all you've gone through. You'd think they could do a quick courtesy one at birth lol I know that probably wouldn't work huh?
Mel, even with all your colds and feeding issues jack is doing great. He has obviously not missed out on anything. Good job mummy!
Jas, glad to hear you are going well.
Sara, what a good girl you have, smiling after needles. What did she have in her throat. I was told they would get them in their legs. I'm sure she will stop bringing feeds up soon. We won't be having needles till next week. I'm expecting a horrid day, maybe he will surprise me.
