I made it back with personals! Don't fall over with shock lol!
Shazz WE LOVE YOU! I can’t believe your family :( I’m sorry I wasn’t there posting straight away to tell you how awesome you are!
Sheree You are such a dear sweet friend. You are going through so much and yet you still think of me all the time! I love you for that! If I end up moving my cash flow may not be great for that month but I promise you I will be up there for a holiday just a soon as I can!
Leanne I hope you are feeling better soon you poor thing! It sounds awful!!
Sara The STAT isn’t really that hard. At least it wasn’t for me. I scored in the top 11% - and still didn’t make it into midwifery lol. I have found with Em at home this past week my house is even more messier then usual lol! OMG at losing 1.5L of blood! That is a lot! I’m glad the check up went well and WOW at the mirena. I have heard they are becoming more popular now too.
Ellissa GL for your DH’s interview! Poor Archie’s fingers!
Thanks for the advice re stairs. I got some great replies in a thread I started too which is helping with the decision. Em has a mild ear infection, possible chest infection and a swollen throat so is now on antibiotics. Hopefully that clears it all up soon. We also suspect he may be asthmatic and so he now has a ventolin. Got a busy day ahead of me tomorrow so I best get to bed!
Night!
-
Ohh poor little Em. Hope is better soon Nat. Oh and it is my pleasure, you are a treasure you know that!
-
Hi girls...
I'm really sorry I can't do personals. I'm sooooo tired right now.
I went to the obstetrician this morning. Even he said I looked really tired. Baby is well. Good size, good heart rate. I had blood tests last week and I thought my iron would be low... but that's all okay. But last night I discovered a condition I had with Shaun. On my shins (lower legs) my legs become like marshmellow. If you press down on the skin, it indents - but doesn't pop back again. When I showed the ob he asked if I had an injury with that leg - and I said "no - it's both legs, and it happened with Shaun". That really took him by surprise and he's booked me for more blood tests. He thinks it might be a protein deficiency. Last time my GP thought it was my thyroid... but all the tests said my thyroid was fine.
We got the keys to the house on the weekend, so Yariv could rip up the tiles in the front entrance, so we could get the floorboards repolished. The current owners are so lovely letting us into their house earlier then expected. Anyway... we started on Saturday, and on Sunday Yariv went back to put out staples from the floor. I met him up there later - and half the kitchen was gone!!! On Sunday he ripped out the entire kitchen by himself. I was so impressed!! The owners also popped in and were surprised, but fine with it. They were impressed with Yariv too.
We get the keys tonight... and the boards are getting polished tomorrow morning! We start moving our furniture on the weekend.
Shaun is on the mend now. He was sick from last Wednesday. On Saturday he was improving, but when my step-mum saw him she freaked out and insisted we go to the hospital. So we go to emergency, and didn't wait long. Doc checked him over and he is ill - but nothing serious. He gave me a script for anti-biotics but said to wait at least a day and only use them if he gets worse. But he improved heaps on Sunday... and by Monday he was nearly back to normal.
I'm sorry this whole post is about me.... And I must find the time to do some decent personals. But please be aware that I'm thinking about you all... and hope you're all going well.
hugs to everyone.
Jodie

nat - we dont have stairs, we have 3 big steps to get out front andback doors and they are enough of a hassle, i personally wouldnt want to be in a house with stairs and a toddler. poor Em i hope he is on the mend soon, bummer about the asthma, we expect Archie to have as we both do.
sara - lol at your cheeky mind!!! Dh is 5 hours away so no not that kind of excitement, i was being sarcastic meaning i was having a boring night researching on the net he he he. Hope Colbys night colic doesn't last long.
sheree - hi! hope your doing okay
jodie - good to hear from you you poor tired thing, how strange having marshmallow legs, good description, i wonder what causes it?? Great to hear that everything is fine with bub. Sounds like Yariv has been hard at work lately, bet your looking forward to getting settled into the new house before the baby comes. happy that Shaun is feeling much better.
Well it is 1pm and i am still in my pjs, slack! Waiting for Archie to wake up s i can have a shower, the bathroom is next to his room and the walls are paper thin so im not gonna risk waking him.
-
Sorry just a quick post jodie. That same thing happened with me with Lachlan, at 36 weeks and it was my birthday I remember it all so well and was up at the hospital getting my blood pressure checked. I had high blood pressure and I was concerned it may have gone bad as I was exactly how you explained it, like a big divit in your leg that takes forever to go back to normal size and is discoloured (really white/pale). I was told it was just really bad fluid, I am sure it is nothing to worry about. Did they check your blood pressure?
-
yeah... blood pressure is perfect.
I'm not too worried about the legs. Because I had the same with Shaun... and it went back to normal a few months after the birth. But it's really wierd. And I'm not as swollen as I was with Shaun... although I might swell up in the next couple of months.
-
Yeah my sister freaked out when she saw my legs, they were horrible.
-
Okey dokey, this is the first time in a really long time that I have had a chance to sit down on the computer for more than 30seconds….I have a real lot to catch up on.
Sara Colby sounds like she’s doing really well! I do that with the potty too, though Darcy’s pretty freaked by it all. She knows to tell you when she’s going to do a wee or a poo (but she calls them all poos) but won’t do it if you rush her into the toilet. She has no pants on a lot at home, but is pretty good and we rarely have to clean up any messes. If she does have to often she’ll scoot outside lol. They say the best time to try and start TT is around 18 months. As for the sippy cup (I know I’m going back a bit) I’d rather have less mess than an advanced child…..I do believe the Mirena is a great alternative.
Yep Nat we have stairs, and I never found them a challenge really. Darcy’s fallen down a few a couple of times - she’s just more careful afterwards. She can climb and get down the stairs safely. I just showed her a few times and she got the gist. Hope Em’s feeling better soon. Does he cope with the ventolin?
Jodie, wow Yariv sounds like a worker! I can’t wait to see! The legs sound a bit average though. How’s the packing going. We’re moving in a week and I haven’t even started….they are paying for someone to do it though.
Leanne you poor love! Far out you’re going to be immune to every bug known to man shortly! How’s my precious Katy going?
Elissa. Those maggies! My mum feeds the ones at home….consequently we’ve never been swooped even though their nest is very close. Poor Archie’s finger! Swearing----Darcy said ‘oh s##t!’ yesterday when she tripped. Cam thought it was hilarious. Considering that’s the only expletive I use I should be more careful I think. Hope your DH’s interview goes how you guys want it to :fingerscrossed:. So have you decided to move?
Shazz your bathroom looks very professional! Hope you’re feeling better hun. How’s Ryan’s asthma going?
Sheree did you get the house with the newsagent? That’s a buggar about Lachlan getting under the matress in the port-a-cot. Is he still going well in the bed?
As for us, we’re packing up to move next Tuesday. Bit scary as we moving in on Friday and Cam goes away for 4 months on Saturday, and then Darcy starts CC on the Monday and our wedding anniversary on the Tuesday - woohoo all by myself.
We went into town last Friday night just the 2 of us and Darcy stayed with Nan and Pop (who’s her favourite person in the whole world ATM). LOL she fell asleep on the lounge so they slept on their chairs so they didn’t have to wake her when they moved her….dags. We had a lovely night though. It was the most sleep in a row I’ve had since Darcy was born.
Darcy decided last Sunday (9 days ago) that she no longer wanted to sleep in the cot…we had long screaming sessions until on the Thursday I thought I’d test a theory and borrow mum’s fold out bed. We’ll she was fine in that, so we pulled the cot down this morning and she’s been in the bed for nearly a week. We’ll get her a real bed after we move. She has no rail or anything. She did fall out with a thud last night, and a couple of time she’s gotten out in the dark and gotten lost and ended up next to the chest of drawers etc but other than that no real probs. Getting her to fall asleep in there is a bit of a challenge, but I’ve almost got that licked.
She’s also turned into a right terror, chucking HUGE tantrums and being really naughty. I’m quite laid back so I don’t know where she learned them, but I’m hoping they’ll pass. They make some days and all car rides a nightmare….I think she knows something big is going down.
Well that’s enough typing……be back soon.
-
wow Kim so much going on for you you have a busy week ahead i envy your move though i'm really ready to move on i have been thinking about putting Ryan in a bed but for the time being he is happy being in his cot so i'll leave it for now Ryans asthma is getting under control we have our good days and some bad nights i am really hoping he grows out of it
-
Well done on the replies Kim. Wow Darcey in a bed, good for you. We put away the port-a-cot as it was creating too much confusion, he didn't know which one he liked more.... so only have the cot now, creating a few issues for us, but tuff I say, get use to it kiddo! Like last night screamed and screamed and screamed so much we gave in and let him come out, he watched the wiggles for a little while with daddy. Daddy brought him out so I said only under the proviso he doesn't move from the couch as i have cleaned up all his toys and I am not doing it again. The little worm, wriggled and wormed, couldn't sit still the whole 1/2 hour with his water bottle hangin out of his mouth of course. But he knew I would go cross if he moved off the lounge, wise kid! Then he grabbed two of the lounge pillows and starting walking towards his room. We gathered that was the sign, so put him to bed with 2 x pillows, his water bottle and whalaaa.... It was so cute later when I went into his room, all crashed out on his 2 pillows with elmo. He is fighting his morning / afternoon sleep too, just screaming like I haven't heard in a long time, so I just don't know what to do atm....
All the houses here are mine houses as you can't live here unless you work at the mine or own a business. So we pay alot more rent then the miners, still great but as we only pay $100 per week, but the miners only pay $15. Unbelievable huh and they will strike if you put it up. I know we can't complain but for the simple fact another miner could live in our house for so much less a week really sux. A have had a lady say oohh that is good (this lady being a miners wife), and I am whispering under my breathe - bet you wouldn't pay that! But yeah none the less, it is great rent!
Goodluck with the move, will it be a while until you have your computer set up?
Oh and Lachlan also, just in the last few days is being a Gremlin. I thought he was chucking tanties before, but OMG he really is now! His father couldn't believe it, cause in his eyes he can do no wrong. He just really knows what he wants and doesn't want at the moment and boy oh boy it really prooves challenging at times. They must be going through a really naughty stage atm.
Too cute about your parents not wanting to disturb her and going to sleep on the couch.
Ok cya my little monkey is being a menace.
-
No way it will be about the second thing I set up....I'd miss too much! LOL
-
whats that chart of your up too kim ?
-
yeah don't know Shazz. I didn't do anything different last night, but I still feel like the temp was too high to be plausible. Maybe I was awake and don't remember....
-
Hi girls,
I have been naughty and been in here and not posted today. Now i am too tired and just want to go to bed.
Just got Colby settled and tidied the house and now i am buggered.
So sorry for no personals. Tomorrow!
Hope you are all well....
Ni night!
-
Hi guys, boy I have a lot to catch up on.
Just eating a bit of brekky before I wake Katy and go to CC and work.
Feeling better. Thank goodness for berocca! and Coffee!
BB tonight for personals.
Hi Kim....... Any time for a visit before you go?
-
Wow you guys can talk up a storm!!
Leanne- hope you and katy are better now, Kim's right you will be immune to everything soon!
Kim- Don't envy you the packing and moving, poor you having Cam leave so soon too, is he coming home for Christmas? Will your parents come down to stay with you for a while? Erin will come and visit if you like LOL She announced last week that when she has a baby she is calling her Darcy!!
Sheree- $100 a week wow I am envious we pay $420!! but then again we do live in a city! Riley has just started climbing everything, last night he climbed on a chair on and onto the dining room table. I can understand why you'd want a low rise house, its so much easier to manage. Is it getting hot up there?
Jodie- Yariv is amazing!! I bet you are getting excited about the new house although probably apprehensive about the move. Hope they sort out your leg issues!!! Are you still working heaps?
Elissa- GL with DH's job interview. I didn't TT Erin until she was 2 1/2 or more and it was heaps quicker and easier than with Jess who was younger but i think i depends on the child. Riley has no idea of when he is going to go so is nowhere near ready yet.
Shazz- hope you are feeling better.
Nat- nice to see you again! Hope Em gets better soon
Damn Riley is awake and screaming BBL for the rest of the personals!!
-
kim - wow, what a huge post, good to hear from you though. We have decided that we will move if DH gets offered a job in another town on the truck, if he doesn't get this job we will stay here another 12 months then take stock and see if DH wants to move back to his job in Adelaide. hope you're coping okay with the big move ahead. Gosh Darcy is always two steps ahed of the rest isn't she?! Sounds like she is very clever with toilet training, i had the potty out for a few days but Archie really just wasn't 'getting it' and it was annoying me that he wasnt catching on so i have put the potty away for a few more months at least. And a big bed wow!! had a giggle imagining her getting lost near the chest of drawers, can just imagine walking into the room and seeing her there half asleep he he he. Thats great that theya re moving you, we are really hoping the service will pay for our move cause we dont have the money atm.....will cross that bridge when we come to it.....oh tantrums, dont think they are learned forom mum and dad i think they are programmed into them in utero! Yeah she probably can sense that something is happening, shes a pretty switched on kid.
sheree - soory to hear that Lachlan isnt sleeping happily atm no day sleeps, thats scarey!
leanne - great to hear you are feeling well again, must buy some berocca to have in the cupboard, i have never tried it but it sure sounds like good stuff.
christine - yeah Archie has no idea either, i have put the potty away and am thinking i'll just leave it and he can stay in nappies for ages til hes well and truly ready.
Just got back from Poppy's, he wore Archie out, Arch fell asleep in the car on the way home and didn't even wake when i carried him to bed, must be pooped.
oooo i am feeling nervous for poor DH, his interview is in half an hour, there will be a panel of four poeple, he had a personality test an hour ago, shouldn't have a problem with that as he is employed by the service already.
Better go and pay the bills for the week....ooo we only have 1 bill and its only $50!!! What a shock. Rego next week that will make up for it lol.
-
Hi Christine.
Leanne - glad you are feeling better
Elissa - gl dh on interview, I am sure he will do well.
Me feels like a truck has hit em in the past couple of days, can't pinpoint what is wrong with me though. Think it is sinus and my back is out. Panadol won't even shake this headache, was so tempted to take nurofen and decided not to incase I was pregnant. AF is due tomorrow and i had a feeling she is coming, even got desperate and did a pregnancy test and yep as negative as they come. So if I get any worse I will pop some nurofen now that I know.
-
Hi girls,
Nat - Ohh poor Em. I hope he feels better soon. Briley was coughing bad again thismorning! I hope she's not getting sick again. You must be one smart cookey to have gotten in the top 11%!!! I hope that will be me and its good enough to get in!
Kim - Good to hear from you hun! Good luck with the move. I can't belive Darcy is in a big bed already! I'm not going to really push the subject until Colby really needs to be in a cot. Hopefully Briley will be the same as Darcy and just want to go into a big bed. Glad you and Cam had a good night out!
Elissa - Ooops! My mistake! Thought you were getting lucky for a minute there! Fingers crossed the interview goes well for your DH. Poppy must have a lot of energy! Brents mum is like that to! She wares Briley out all the time.
Sheree - The housing issues is really bad down there hey! Brent's parents were managing the caravan park in Blackwater when it was sold. So they had to move up here cause they could'nt get a house to live in. We also had friends living in Bluff who were renting a house for $115 a week. They also had to move cause the owners put the rent up too $450!!! I'm not sure if you have been through Bluff but its that small if you blink you could miss it!!! Houses are that in demand you can charge prices that much. The rediculous thing is that people are willing to pay it. Lucky you guys have the newsagent. Is your house behind the shop???
Jodie - WOW! Marshmellow legs. Never heard of that one before. Is it painful?? I hope not. I really hope your not pushing yourself to hard hun. You should try and relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. Great to hear things are going well for you though. Baby moving around heaps??? I so miss that! Yariv is one motivated man is'nt he. Can i borrow him?!?!? ;) The ownes sound like they are very nice people.
Hi to everyone else. Hope you are well.
Well Briley had a terrible night lastnight. I am not sure if it was her teeth or wether she was waking up in her horrors! She woke up almost screaming about 3 times lastnight. In the end we put in our bed with us. Even then she was still crying. The only teeth we are waiting on are the molars and the last big back ones. Surely they would'nt be coming through already. So i just don't know. Colby slept from 8.30pm to 6.30am though. Trust for one to sleep like an angel and the other like a real baby!!!
Well i don't think there is much else to report. Oh yes there is actually...Briley is'nt getting the horse now. The lady we organised it all through (the one who told us it was give-away) rang up and left a message on the answering machine saying that it was $1000 for the horse and a kids saddle!!! Well they can jam that you know where. Brent reckons the saddle would'nt even be worth $300 brand new! And for the horse, well its friggin 20 years old!!!! As if i am going to pay that much for the 2!!! So thats that for the time being. We will find another one for cheaper. Plenty of horses and horse people around here.
Ok...miss is chucking a tanty here so i better go. MIL did'nt bath her thismorning and she is fairly grubby. And she asking for "bubbles"!.
Hope you are all well...

Bugger about the horse Sara.
No we probably live about a km from the newsagency. Gosh it would be good if we lived behind, then I could go and tidy the shop every night, would be so good while lachlan was sleeping. Wade is not keeping the shop how I would like it, but I guess I am not superwomen and he is really doing a great job, there is just soooo much to do. We have just renovated and put down new tiles in the shop, so the shop is in a right mess atm, but the thing is that was 5 weeks ago now, just never seem to be able to get ontop of it, always something else to do.
That is why we want to sell our house in Gin Gin and buy in Emerald, people are paying $500 a week rent there. Unbelievable.....
But our town has the highest mean income in Australia, so hey they are being paid very very well!
No we can't complain at our rent, just a bit rich compared to everyone else in the town that is all.
We just got an anz teller machine put into our shop window. There are two standalone machines in town and they have always run out of money! So we felt the need for one and we bank anz and our future plan is to even put a subagency in - a little anz mini branch into our shop. That is a while away yet! Anyway there is an ANZ bank in town and they should have put a teller in town many many moons ago and they didn't, so we jumped at the opportunity, and once we said we were, they said no we are! So we left it alone, but ANZ came us and still wanted to put one in (guess there is some type of bank fighting going on there), so we had it installed yesterday. 95% of people and town are stoked and can't believe what we have done to the shop. let alone put in a teller machine in the short time we have been there (7months), they all reackon Wade will be lord mayor before long hehe. See the mine owns the town and the all the houses here. Basically it is a town just for the mine. And the community services manager at the mine gave anz the go ahead to put one in on the quiet. And nab were on the phone bright and early revin it up the community services manager. Town gossip spreads quick hehe. He just said to them, well they were being pro-active and it took for you guys to want to put one in just because the newsagency put pressure on you. Anway just waiting for a money drop off now. You should see the glass they installed (thick as) and this contraption goes back nearly two metres from the wall. We have now lost so much floor space. But the town loves us for it, so it will only help our business.
-
OMG Sara I feel so terrible! I just checked my other email addy for the first time in ages and there's an email sitting there from you.... Will reply to it tonight and hopefully be back with personals.
xoxo
-
sara - Dont worry, planning on getting lucky tonight instead, DH is due home in half an hour! Sory to hear Briley had a cr@ppy night, Archie did the exact same thing for 3 days and nights and i am now convinced it was bad dreams. Hope she is happier tonight. Bummer about the horse, rip off merchants, good thing your cluey enough not to pay it!
sheree - woohoo at the ATM, sounds like you have both been working really hard up there well done! Bummer you're not feeling too good, hope the nurofen eases it a bit.
DH feels fairly confident about the interview and is happy with how he performed which is great. There are now 3 positions down here and he is the only applicant from down here, so if he passes the interview we will be staying put, woohoo no more moving!! If he gets this job our lives will be everything we have dreamed of since we got together, still gotta get the job though, he has been let down by them several times in the past so we are trying not to get too hopeful, hard though. We find out next week, great that we dont have to wait weeks or months like usual.
How does everyone else go taking their toddler grocery shopping?? i try my hardest not to take him, but i decided to take him today, not a good choice, had to carry him around half the time and feed him chocolate at the checkout to shut him up.....will think twice about taking him next time, i dont blame him though it must be very boring and frustrating for them.
-
Sheree - Good on you mate! Sound like you's are doing so well for youselves there. Fingers crossed you get that BFP!!!
Nat - Its cool mate! I know how busy you at the moment anways. Whenever you get around to it!
Elissa - Oooooo....lucky duck! Have a good night matey! Briley is sound asleep so far! Fingers crossed it stays that way for both the girls all night!
Well i am being abused because i don't spend enough time with him at night. PLLEAASEE!!!! Make me weak i tell you!
Anyways girls....Hope you are all well.
Ni night!
-
Hopefully he gets the job Elissa.
Lachlan loves shopping, he stands up in the trolley, won't sit in the seat. I have found out recently you are not meant to have them in the trolley part as it is dangerous. What tha..... I think it is more dangerous him in the seat and trying to get out all the time. He does play up sometimes but he is pretty good most of the time, just loves standing in the trolley and going for a ride, but I am too keep moving IYKWIM.
This afternoon I got two really sharp pains in my gut, really hurt, but didn't last long, have no idea what that was??????????
-
Lachlan has woken already grrr.....
I don't think we are ever going to have a kid that ever sleeps thru again at this rate. Probably had 5 sleep thrus in 4 months now, what tha..............
-
2nd time awake already.
Just felt his gums, gosh it is so swollen at the back on the bottom left and right. I felt it and it felt really raised and fat (swollen). Must be his molars????
-
Man you girls can chat! Will fly through personals….
Jodie Hope all is well with you and bubs! Take it easy okay!
Ellissa I am dying to have a PJ day!!! Lucky you! Good to hear you’ve made some decisions re DH and his job too. Shopping – Em always comes with me. We make a day of it and he’s pretty well behaved provided I don’t take too long. We always stop for lunch while we’re out as well. He gets heaps of attention from other customers which also keeps him happy lol.
Sara I emailed you back! How rude about the horse!
Kim Good luck with the move! I have missed reading your posts! Buggar about spending your anniversary alone but your night out sounds great. Thanks for the advice re the stairs.
Sheree OMG that is great rent lol! I pay over twice that!!! I hear ya on the naughty stage!! WTG with getting the ATM installed! I hope Lachie went to sleep for you in the end!
Leanne Glad you’re feeling better!
Christine Holy crap at your rent!! That is scary stuff!
Well I’m def moving! Things are going so amazingly well here atm. I’ve finally hit some good luck. Will post the details in my blog away from stalkers eyes lol. Em is doing much better. The Dr has given me a prescription thing for a chest xray if he spikes a temp or coughs too much though. Hopefully the antibiotics clears it up well and good though. He has been home for 2 weeks sick now the poor thing. I am lucky it didn’t happen mid semester but at the same time I’ve got no uni work done which kind of sucks! I’m off to bed. Will chat tomorrow.
xoxo
-
Nat- Your blog won't let me in!!
Sara- gosh Colby sounds like the perfect baby, what a good sleeper already! I don't know how you manage to even breathe with 2 so little so what's Brent's problem!! Men always feel that you should have time to spend with them don't they? they never seem to understand just how exhausting motherhood is either.
Sheree- great to hear about the ATM and that the shop is going well, hopefully business picks up even more. Have you tried mersyndol for your back? I took that while pg when I broke my foot. Hope AF stays away for you.
-
Morning girls,
Nat - Thanks heaps mate. I really appreciate it. I emailed you back aswell! Glad to hear that Em is rocovering nicely.
Christine - Yeh Brent carries on with some sh*t sometimes. When he was going off at me i just retaliated with "Now you know how i feel when you disappear out into the yard for hours at a time!". I wont tell you what he said back to me. It contains some explicit words!!! ;)
Sheree - Must be something in the air! Briley had one of those nights the other night. I think she woke up once lastnight because when i got up the formula tin was on the bench. This means brent got up and made her a bottle. I did'nt hear a thing! Must've been dead to the world!
Well not too much planned today. I have managed to get up straight away, clean my teeth, brush my hair and get out of my PJ's 2 mornings in a row now!! Don't know how the rest of the day will pan out. I want to do stuff but i can't fully find the motivation!
Hope you are all well....
-
That is so good that Brent helps you Sara, what would we do without these men these days.
Nat so glad things are alot better for you lately you deserve it. Bugger about em, hope he is better soon. We haven't been sick for 2 weeks YAY!!! Makes a very nice change.
Lachlan woke about 4 times last night, grrr..... He is definitely using his bottle as a dummy pacifier and we have to continually get up to replace it. What have we done!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh also my sister went for another scan today. It went well, the baby does have legs. Bloomey public hospital!!! I can't believe they worried her like that. The lady today said they were probably being cautious. But as the lady said today the limbs are only just starting to form at that gestation, surely they knew that. She has been so worried, poor thing. So glad all is well.

sara - hope the girls both slept well last night! Well done on being so organised lately.
sheree - hope you dont get any more pains like that. I really hope Lachlan decides to sleep through for you soon! Poor boy those teeth must really hurt. I have heard many a time that putting them in the main bit of the trolley is dangerous, but i was very tempted to put him in there yesterday, might do it next time, i reckon he'd be happier in there although he'd more than likely just eat all the fruit and veges in there! I agree sitting him in the seat part is becoming really dangerous now as he wont keep the seat belt on and just twists himself around in the seat the whole time, i just make sure i am facing him and have my hands on the trolley the whole time, probably be no more dangerous in the main part of the trolley. i am relieved to hear that your sister's bub has got its legs after all, how awful for them to worry her unnecessarily like that!
nat - its great to hear that things are going so well for you atm, you sounds very excited about the move, hope Em gets better without the abs.
Arch stayed up til 9pm last night cause DH arrived home from Adelaide, that is a VERY late night for Arch and he got up at 7am so he was a very tired boy all morning, hope he has a nice big sleep, i have the heater in his room cranked up to make it extra cosy and encourage extra sleep. Finally bought a kids music CD for us to dance to during the day, been meaning to get one for ages, I got the Fisher Price Little People Sing-a-long one, I reckon the Justine Clark I like to sind CD would be good too. What CD's do you guys have? i reckon we'll buy Arch a little CD player for his 2nd birthday he loves using them but hes too rough atm.
I found a really yummy rich chocolate biscuit yesterday, Woolworths Selects Rocky Road Biscuits, yummo!

Well AF just arrived.
I am going to get DRUNK!
-
-
Evening ladies,
Sheree - Oh that is such good news about your sister. Thank god it was just human error. Sorry that you got your AF. I don't know wether to laugh or cry about your comment on getting drunk. Keep your chin up honey.
Elissa - We have austar and Briley loves listening to any show that has music and dancing. I always try and make a big deal about it and dance around to encourage her. She does this thing, and always has since she could sit up, where if she gets excited she drops to the floor on her bum and bounces around the lounge room on her bum. Its so funny.
Hi to everyone else.
Briley has learnt to say Colby's name. Only she says it Dolby!!! So cute! She picks up new words everyday and even managed to rhyme today. I was sweeping the outside patio and she went upto the dirt pile and said "dirty birdy!". I was so spun out! She is such a clever little bean. I love her so much.
Well its 9 and i wanted to be in bed at 9 so i am off to bed girls.
Hope you are all well.
Ni night!

Morning girls,
Very quiet in here at the moment.
Well if you go from the day that Colby was born she is 8 weeks old today. Therefore she is due for her needles. But i have decided just to count her months on the 3'rd of every month rather than the fridays. Its just too confusing. I did'nt know wether to take her in today for her needles or next wednesday. I ended up deciding next week.
I can't believe almost 2 months has gone by already! Time just goes to quick these days. You can barely enjoy your kids as kids now! And we only get older!!! Scary thought! Oh well i think of it like this at the moment....the older i get now is the closer i get to having another baby! I'll probably have a different outlook once i'm all done in that department!!
Colby is still sleeping like an angel at night. Our morning feeds have been getting earlier though. She woke up for a feed at 4.30am thismorning and 5.30am yesterday morning. Don't know what the go is there. She is really starting to be a chatter box in the afternoons. Yesterday and the day before when Brent walked in the door from work, at that exact moment when she heard his voice, she would start calling out!! Like to get his attention from Briley or something. I thought that was beautiful!
Lastnight i was in the shower and Brent was about to pass Colby into me. He was crouching down to Briley and showing Colby to her. Then when he passed Colby up to me she made this sound that sounded EXACTLY like a laugh!!! She was in a position where i could'nt see her face properly so i could'nt tell if she had a smile on her face. We were like..."Did she just laugh?!?!?" I guess we'll never know!! Totally spun us out though!
Well we are heading into town today. Got a few errands to run. I am sending of the final documents for my application to UniSA for Midwifery. I really REALLY hope i get in. Its a very tough course to get into though. Not sure if i have told you guys previously but i am doing my Doula course at the moment. Got my first module yesterday!! So i finally well on my way!! I am feeling a lot of emotions about it all at the moment. Scared being one of them. I guess i am just worried if i will be confident enough to support a labouring woman!! I suppose most people probably have these feelings at first. I will adjust. Its my passion!
Briley is good. Being a little sooky a bit the last few days though. Not sure why. Teeth maybe??? She is also starting to feed herself with a spoon at meal times. She can't have it up the right way though. She uses it so that when she put the spoon in her mouth its upside down! At least she is using it hey. She is also becoming very affectionate. I always put her in our bed with me when Brent goes to work. She puts her face right up to mine and places her hand anywhere so that she is touch my skin. And she is giving lots of cuddles too! Lovely is'nt it.
Anyways, better get going. Have 2 little girls to get ready before myself!
Hope you are all well.
BBL!

Christine - I have added you ;)
Sara - That laugh sounds so cute! Best of luck with your application! And yay for starting your Doula course! That is so cute of Briley learning how to say Colby! Sometimes I still can't believe you've got another one! Time has gone so fast...
Sheree - I hope you enjoyed that drink mate! Glad to hear everything is alright with your sisters bub too. I can only imagine the panic she'd have felt.
Ellissa - Em just listens to my music lol. yummo at the chocolate biscuits!
Okay for those of you who don't have school age children and aren't working - what time do you get out of bed lol? I swear its a struggle for me to get out of bed before 8 unless I have a reason too ie uni or work etc. I really want to get up early because I feel like I waste the morning! I suppose I should try heading to bed earlier too rofl!
I pick up my keys today!!! Spewing though because its in an hour and Em just went to sleep  Oh well! The weather here is awful today! So windy and raining. You wouldn't believe it was 30 degrees just last week. I've got so much uni work to catch up on so I better get on to it!
xoxo

Been 35 degrees here lately, yucko hot! And it aint even summer....
So you are taking the place with the stairs Nat???
I am naughty Nat, I don't rise until at least 9am most mornings, but I do stay up till between 12pm and 2am most nights too. Lachlan is good most of the time, he wakes and just sucks on his bottle and I don't hear a peep generally. So don't feel bad. Wade came home at 9.30am this morning and I was still in bed, ooopsss..... But I did stay up till 2am doing some orders for the newsagency.
-
sheree - sorry old AF has shown up....have fun getting drunk!
sara - i will try and remember everything you posted.....how clever is Briley saying her sisters name and rhyming! It is so beautiful now that they are starting to be all affectionate, Archie is really snuggly too wraps his arms around your neck and rests his head on your shoulder, just beautiful, i dont think anything could make me feel as good as that does. Colby probably was laughing, how cute, and her trying to get Brents atentiona lready, wow, i cant believe its been 8 weeks already. i had a giggle imagining Briley dropping to her bum and bouncing around to the music lol! GL with the DOula course, i reckon you are right, everyone would be scared at the beginning, after a bit of study and an experience you will be fantstic im sure, if you've got the passion for it for 3/4 of the way there. Hope you get accepted into midwifery too.
nat - i jsut get out of bed whenever Archie wakes me up, usually between 7 and 9. the weather is awful isnt it, our fence along our driveway just completely blew over, typical just when we start to get some savings in the bank account something always comes up, never mind its just a fence.
We had a really yummy lunch today, got takeaway from a delicious Italian restaurant, Archie ate a huge bowl of fettucine, his nonna would be proud! Arch has ben very tired and sooky and cuddly today and i have gone through about 6 jumpers today alrady cause he has been dribbling so much, must be teeth.
