9pm - transfer to cot from capsule (YAY for successful transfer!)
11pm - wake/change/feed/straight to sleep
3am - wake/feed/straight to sleep
6am - wake up!

I'm a happy mummy! :D I feel like a different person with 3 nights of reasonable sleep! in a row!!! So now we can celebrate! Plus we were out the last two nights & she slept in her portacot both times and transferred really well... ahhh...deep sigh of relief, now I feel more human I have tackled some housework today...lmao, what a way to celebrate....

Well yesterday I went a bit stir crazy from being inside so I decided to go to the shops anyway, and we picked up Aidyns highchair off layby. He seems to really like it, as he has always enjoyed being elevated above us!! So now I think we will be using it instead of the rocker. It is a pretty good one, (Steelcraft) and you can recline the backrest, and adjust the height etc.
Today is pretty stinking hot... Aidyn just guzzled 100ml of water in one sitting, when he normally never drinks that much in a whole day!

Don't worry Ambah, housework hadn't even crossed my mind for today. But we are going out as soon as Brandon has ahd his next bottle, so we can meet DP in Greensborough, and then go to a house inspection at 6pm. I was just planning to tune up my guitar and try out the new tabs I found the other night. *brief flash of guilt over sink chock full of dishes* Ah, hell with it, (can I say hell in here?) I do all the cooking anyway, and if I do do the dishes, DP will only tell me off for doing them before he did anyway. Who knows how long that will be though, LOL.
Wow @ the water though. Brandon refuses to drink water at all, unless he is sucking it out of a face washer when he is in the bath LOL.
Good on Matilda for letting you have a little more rest Christy! Jessica had a feed at 7pm last night, was in bed at 9pm and didn't wake until 5am. i got to bed at 12am so I had 5 straight hours of sleep last night and I feel pretty good today. My 5 hours sleep usually has an hour of wake time in the middle so it makes a big difference. Fingers crossed we can keep it up.
We are organising our joint 30th bday party in November, I have done all the invites and need to post them all otherwise nobody is going to get them on time. Don't know how we are going to pay though as we are very short on cash, still waiting for our $3000 and the $600 per child as we haven't done our tax yet, waiting on the accountant, plus we are renovating. DH is a wiz at renovation and has completed our rumpus room from foundation to useable room in 5 weeks, he still has the 2 bedrooms to do. When he is finished we will have a 6 bedroom house with study and rumpus room. Each child has their own room and I will also have an office, the study is walk through and is going to be for the kids only.
I was out yesterday and the house needs some work but I am on here instead. I have been doing washing which is never ending with 4 kids, I must go and hang the washing out.

Wow Michelle I don't know how you do it! I'm organising a little get together for closest few friends and I emailed them for Pete's birthday this Sat.... and even then I'm stressing over getting things done...lol!!
I don't know how either CHristy, especially since the list just keeps growing, we have about 120 adults and 30 kids btween newborn and 10 yrs old invited. I am a little stressed about where people will be put, that is alot of people, but I guess or engagement had about the same number of people and that was at our place too.
Where is your party being held?
We are doing our own catering too and have to think about music as well, I guess we will have to look at the cost before we can decide what we are doing. Dh is self employed and has had almost no work so we are living on savings and they are going down fast.
How are you guys coping financially?

Marcia - you asked why I would prefer to have an elective caesar next time around as opposed to having an emergency one....basically I felt like I had given birth twice by going through 28 hours of labour and winding up having the emergency caesar. It wasn't anything like I expected and I felt incredibly traumatised by it all. The physical tiredness from both labouring and the caesar was overwhelming as well. So all in all, I would like to avoid that eventuating again as I just couldn't cope with it emotionally either as it's so stressful going through all that. Obviously I don't want our baby to go into distress either....Jacob was ok, although he did pass a little bit of meconium (his HB was ok though). Jacob's head hadn't engaged properly (plus he turned and was posterior during labour, the cheeky monkey!)and the OB thinks that Jacob was not going to get out that way as a result and that next time around may be the same, i.e. that the baby would not fit through my pelvis. I think that planning an elective caesar will mean that I won't go through all the emotional turmoil I did with Jacob's birth and will also save me from the physical exhaustion of labouring as well IYKWIM. Hope that makes sense!!
Christy - woo hoo for Matilda!!! Jacob slept for 9 hours last night which he hadn't done since that last time I mentioned it, so I was most impressed LOL. Mind you I was awake for a few of those hours thinking he would be waking for a feed, but he didn't!!!
Ambah - you're right, I did mention about having a casserole for din dins! LOL that you remembered that. It would be pretty bizarre if you DID in fact dream about me eating a casserole!! ROFLMAO Just on din dins, we had a nice Pumpkin & Leek Pasta Bake the other night....it was one of those Leggos brand ones where you cook up your pasta and chicken and whack it all together, chuck some cheese on and bake it up. Very tasty. LOL. *drool* We bought a high chair for Jacob the other day as well, which has pretty much all the same features as yours as well. He won't be needing it for a little while, but hey LOL.
We've got a hook on chair for Brandon, so he can have dinner at the table with us. Now all we have to do is clear all the nappy and baby stuff off the table, and stop eating off our laps in the lounge room LOL

Wow Tootie I didnt know just how similar our births were until I read that post. The only difference was that mine was 20 hours instead. I think my physical exhaustion had alot to do with my inabilty to bf straight away. What do you think about that? I think I was just too tired to do anything- both emotioanlly and physically for the first two weeks.
Well Ryley is going for his 4 weeks check up tomorrow and I cant wait to see just how much bigger he has become as he is feeding up a storm. He will have 120-180ml about 5-6 times a day but sometimes there is a 5 hour break sometimes a 1.5 then sometimes a chuck and other times not!! Sheesh!! hehehe
Glad to hear you got some more sleep Christy. Yesterday I was looking at Ryley and you know that picture you had of Matilda on her site that said cheeky sausage with the funky hat- he looked just like her with the beautiful eyes. I was like- oh my goodness!!
Well I am doing not too bad- I am feeling really sore and i think there is something seriously wrong with my uterus as I am in strange pain and I am having intermittent red blood and hot flushes. I have had it for 2 weeks but I couldnt get in to see my doc until tomorrow so here's hoping everything is okay.
I cant believe my little squidgy cheeks is a month old already... sigh... he is growing up so fast. Today he spat out his dummy then got upset then turned his head toward where the dummy was- cried out to me and started mouthing toward the dummy then when i put it in he went to sleep. I cant believe how smart he is already. He loves it when i sing the aplhabet to him. He always has a small giggle and a smile.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Well I guess I should tell you a little bit about Cohen and his routine. He is quite a demanding little bub but still he is pretty easy as he has a routine which if I stick to it, he is quite happy.
He is fully breastfed and is a bit chubby too! He wakes usually once during the night. Last night was pretty typical. Fed him at about 5pm and he goes down at about 6pm. Woke up at 10.30pm for a quick feed. Then I go to bed and he woke up at 2.30am for another quick feed. I put him back down and he woke up at about 6.30am. Some nights are better than others!
He is a pretty good day sleeper which is nice as my first son was a horrible day sleeper but a great night sleeper! Usually I can get Cohen to have 3 naps during the day lasting anywhere between 1 hour and 3 hours! Not every day though!
I keep myself pretty busy with playgroup, gymbaroo and swimming lessons for my 3 yr old. Cohen will start swimming next year and if I can somehow manage it so I don't have to go back to work, will probably start him in babyroo next year as well!
It will take me a while to get used to everyone in here, so please excuse me if ask silly questions! I may also get your names wrong so let me know if I offend you in any way! Apologies up front!
Tootie - I can understand where you are coming from. My first son was born via emergency c-section after 13 hours of labour. However, I was pretty relaxed through the whole thing and came out of it thinking it was a pretty positive experience. This time around, I wanted to keep my options open and went into labour naturally a week early. After an easy 8 hour labour, gave birth to Cohen who was bigger than Finlay! The Ob initially said that if the baby was any bigger than Finlay there was no way that it would fit. Well I proved them wrong! Anyway, I found for me the trick was to have an epidural early in the proceedings. This way I was really calm the whole time and slept for 5 of the 8 hours I was in labour. Only had 20 minutes of pushing and he was out. It was really surreal but a wonderful experience. Mind you, saying all this, if I had to have another c-section, it wouldn't have bothered me one bit. I guess you have to decide what is right for you and then stick to it. It is your birthing experience and you have to be happy with it.
Michelle - Sounds like you have your hands full organising the party. Sounds great though. I don't think I know 120 people! Well I do but I wouldn't invite them to my birthday! We both have pretty small family units and a lot of our friends now live overseas which is such a shame. Still we have a nice group of close friends who we socialise with a bit.
Plus, your partner sounds divine! I wish my DH could build stuff! He isn't very handy I'm afraid.
Christy - Good luck with the party on Saturday. I'm sure you will have a ball. Also good on Matilda for giving you a nice big sleep. Makes such a difference doesn't it! I don't know about you but I'm really looking forward to when Cohen sleeps through the night. Finlay slept through from 7 weeks old so I've been spoilt! Mind you, those feeds in the middle of the night are pretty special. I get the most beautiful smiles out of Cohen and they are all for me!
Ambah - We have a high chair that reclines too. It's great isn't it!
Anyway, sorry to those of you who I didn't reply too. I'm still getting used to things. Will post again soon.

Tootie - thanks for sharing about the caesar. I also just read your posts in the caesar section. It's interesting to read about how you felt emotionally and physically as it sounds similar to how I felt after Hudsons birth despite it being a vaginal birth. I never expected his birth to go the way it did and didn't expect to feel the way I do emotionally and physically still now. I have to admit it has made me wonder if I will ever be able to cope through another birth later on in life if DH and I want more children. You mentioned about Jacob not being engaged and also being posterior and maybe next time it could be the same. Hudson was also posterior through the entire birth and this is what caused a lot of complications to his delivery and also my recovery. Has your OB said that if your first baby was posterior this is a good indication that the next may also be? Just interested to know as the thought of delivering another posterior baby really scares me and is the main reason I am thinking about an elective caesar next time. Having said that I will also be considering going private next time even if I do aim for a VB (sounds like I'm off to the pub lol) as I think the OB I ended up with doing my episiotomy was a bit of a butcher and hasn't helped things much. Sorry that was a bit epic 8-[ .

Michelle - you really sound like a busybee atm!! I admire you being able to undertake so much, and your DH sounds very talented too!! Your house sounds like it is coming together very nicely indeed!
You asked how we are going financially? Well DP and I have been just scraping by, which is pretty much the best we can hope for. But things are set to get a bit harder once we move house in December as our rent will be going up, plus we need to buy lots of new furniture (as BIL gets to keep the stuff that is already in the unit here... including the washing machine... GRRRRR!!!) so we will probably be trying to get the essentials second hand, we wont be able to afford anything more than that...
Susan - LOL we are still eating off our laps in the lounge room too :)
Tootie - Woohoo for Jacobs big sleep!! Lets hope he keeps up the good work for his mummy. :)
Yvette - Babyroo sounds interesting!! I take it its a program for the really young ones? Do you know what sort of activities they do there? There will be a Gymbaroo nearby to where we move house and I am thinking of taking Aidyn there.

Having a good day here! Hudson is still sick, but not so cranky today which is nice and he seems to have finally got the hang of day sleeps! YAY! I can finally stop carting him around in the sling!! On top of that DH popped in on his lunch break to give me flowers for our anniversary which was really nice :D . We will also go out for dinner to celebrate, but not until Saturday so that MIL can babysit for a couple of hours.
On the financial question, we also are on a pretty tight budget now, but seem to be managing it better than I expected. Having said that, our savings have gone from $3000 to $300 since Hudson was born so we better start fixing that lol. I write up a budget every fortnight after DH gets paid so that we can see what we have to play with once essentials are paid for and I find that really helps a lot. Sometimes it's not much, but at least we don't end up spending money we don't have. We used to do that a lot 8-[ .

I still haven't done the dishes, but will be leaving them till after tea now. LOL. Speaking of which I should really go do that now, so we don't end up having tea after 10pm like last night. BTW Ambah, the only thing that is nuts about us eating on our laps is we have a full size 6 seater dining table! :lol:
Pee - I mentioned in the caesar thread about my bleeding etc post birth, so you might want to suss that out, but basically I had bleeding on and off for over 5w as well as pain on and off and I was certainly getting VERY hot and sweaty too - it's a hormonal thing. I also found that I had lumpy bits under my caesar wound can you believe so I was throwing a hissy fit thinking something was wrong, but it's just scar tissue that will go away in time.
Marcia & Pee - about the BF thing...yep, I think the physical and emotional exhaustion does play a part in your ability to BF. I also think that where you feel traumatised by the birth, it really hinders the whole process. Not only was it painful in terms of positioning Jacob (obviously painful on the stomach) but I just felt so totally and utterly overwhelmed in sooo many ways that I was getting myself more and more worked up as each day passed. I really think that by electing to have a caesar next time so that I can avoid the potential for an emergency caesar following labour next time, I may be in a better position to perservere with BF and hopefully make it work.
About Jacob being posterior - the OB didn't mention anything about any future babies doing the same thing. Jacob had been in the right position during the PG and turned during labour and from what I could gather, there's no reason to assume that because Jacob did that, that the next baby will do the same. The concern was more that he didn't engage properly and it can be an indication that your pelvis is too small (or your baby is too big for it LOL) and as a result won't get through naturally.

Pete's BBQ is at a park nearby with a huge playground & near the river in Brissy.... its great we've been there heaps with friends over the years for birthdays because its not a well known park. So its just a meet there & bring a plate of finger food party...

We were given a high chair that is fully plastic and attaches to any chair you may have, so its on top of another dining room chair and straps on in a few places...we can't wait to use it & a few friends toddler have used it already, its great you can hose it off & it means they get used to sitting at the table with us, atm she's still in her rocker at the table watching us lol...

I hear you about bf.... Thats great Yvette that its going so well!! I think I probably would still do it if Matilda didn't settle so much better without it... and I still bf her twice a day. But I found it to be exhausting... I would finish and be so tired that I felt like I'd just run a marathon and couldn't do anything else...

Ambah- well done on the cleaning. I was just not motivated today, did bare minimum and didn't even bring the washing in. My favourite saying is "I'll fire up tomorrow!" not that it always happens.
Silvermoon- I lol at the nappys and baby stuff on the table. Arron gets so sick of clean washing in all different places around the house, but by the time I wash it, fold it and stack it I am too tired to put it away. Agian "TOMORROW!"
Marcia- I had a great budget but lately Arron has had no work and so I can't take any money from his business, which means that I only have centrelink payments to pay everything. I discovered I actually paid the phone bill twice, clever aren't I. That was pregnancy brain last month. At least I have credit, but I could've done with the money.
Christy - Pete's party sounds great. I am starting to wish we hadn't decided to have the party, I'm too tired, but too late. Where abouts in Brissy are you, my sister lives in Wooloowin, I visited her earlier in the year, so have heard some suburb names.
Welcome Pee- the bleeding thng doesn't sound great to me. I had a bleed after my 3rd preg, there was no left over placenta, but I had a raw spot inside my uterus and had to take antibiotics to heal it, it wasn't nice. I agree you really should look into it.
I often wake up cold and sweaty in the night, is that hormones? I was wondering why it was happening. I am back taking the pill too so maybe that could have something to do with it. Arron is getting the snip, but not just yet, so I am doing the job again. Want to make sure we don't fall in with a 5th child as we just couldn't cope with any more.
I went to the health centre for the 4 week check and the HC sister was all concerned about the flat spot on Jessicas left back side of her head. She always turns her head to that side and the head is out of shape at the moment. I remember Jemma had the same thing. She told me a heap of ways to try get her to turn the other way but Jessica is so cheeky, no matter what I do she turns back to the left side. Jemma's isn't a problem now so I guess I will keep trying but not be too concerned. She likes to have her head that side.

Pee - I hope your Doc has some answers for you tomorrow. After my c-section with Jack I had no abnormal bleeding but with Asha it seemed to last for ages and if I did too much it got worse!!! All is fine again now and I am still waiting for AF to arrive properly ... I have had occassional days of bleeding but nothing prolonged!
I hear you all on the cleaning!!! I am waiting until Emma & Jack have flown out tomorrow before I think about it LOL ... might even get on top of the washing, until they get back!

Tootie - I had an elective c-section this time after an emergency c-section with Jack but mostly because they told me Asha would be about the same size as Jack if not bigger and boy did they get it wrong. So this time not only did I have to recover from a c-section but I also had to deal with the emotional side of things ... wishing I had tried a VBAC first etc... Also with a second c-section they cut out all the scar tissue from the previous c-section so it is like a mini tummy tuck (I did tell them they could have take more out LOL) I was also 6 years older this time around so I guess that came in to it as well.
Marcia - Glad to hear that Hudson is feeling a little better, it is not nice when they are sick! Hope you have a great time out with your DH on Saturday ... isn't he sweet bringing you flowers!!
Asha is doing really well :) She doesn’t sleep much during the day but she does sleep from about 7.30pm until 5.30am so I can’t really complain too much. She has also sorted out her feeding so she now has 5 feeds a day and I am much happier about it. She has a breast feed when she wakes up and then has her first 180ml bottle at around 8.30am then has a sleep, has her next bottle at around 12.30/1.00 and has another sleep. Has her 3rd 180ml bottle at 4.30ish and then has her bath at around 5.30 and then play time and cuddles with everyone and then I feed her at around 7.00 (if she can wait that long) and then she goes to bed for the night :) Hopefully it stays that way once I go back to work.
We took Emma & Jack to Shark Tale today and it was a good movie!!! Then we went out for lunch as Asha was at child care today (I have to pay even if she isn’t there so she went!).
Sorry if I have missed anyone but it is getting busy in here now. Not long and some of us will be moving on … time seems to be flying! Asha will be 4 months on the 18th October … almost time to have the next lot of injections, guess I had better make the appointment!

Kelly its great to get someone elses opinion on the 2nd time c-section as I have been thinking about it heaps lately... I can't imagine going through the same thing twice....
Asha sounds like she is doing great, hows the reflux thing?? I have found MAtilda vomits after every bf but doesn't after the formula, and she's starting to get uncomfortable again, arching her back, not eating well, screaming again....hmmm.... maybe she's gained enough weight to up her dose again... back to the Dr!!!
Well... fingers crossed but I think we may have set up a pattern!!! Last night she went to bed at 6.30pm (we can't keep her up any later!) and fed again at 11pm and then at 4.30am and woke up at 7.15am!!! JOY!!! I can handle this, I really can, I fed her at 11 and DH fed her at 4.30 and we both think that getting up only once is a huge breakthrough!! YAY!

Its been a while since I've last posted (probably when I was pregnant).... although I do remember posting somewhere my birth story. I just received an email from Christy and thought that I had lurked in the background for too long and to make the forum even busier I might start posting regularly. My little man (Bailey) will be 4 months on the 19th October...only one day difference than Matilda! :D I love motherhood.....as each day is different. Sometimes it can be challenging; but we all grow through those time. I really shouldn't complain, after reading many of your posts, I think I have it on easy street. Bailey normally feeds 3 - 4 hourly during the day (bottlefed). We normally feed him his last feed @ 7:30pm /8:00pm. He goes down @ 9pm and then I don't normally hear from him until 6/6:30am. The other morning it was 7:30am. The only thing I am concerned about is that he is only staying up normally for 1 hour as he starts to get grissly. Hopefully that will extend with time as I just love playing with him.
Well enough of my epic post. Can't wait to get to know everyone (again!) and watch our little ones grow.

Update on me and Ryley- Doc and CHN said Ryley is doing ever so well. Except he has gone from 4.3 kgs to 5.3 in 2.5 weeks. the nurse thinks maybe he is eating too much, so we have to stick with 120ml and if he complains and wont settle then try with some more. When we took his clothes an nappy off to get weighed the nurse put him back in the blanket to keep warm and he piddled all in the blanket and coz it was a bunny rug it didnt soak in just kind of formed a pool of piddle that he was laying in- GROSS!! I cleaned him up and was about to get him dressed and he then power chucked all over himself- GROSS again!! so i cleaned him again and dressed him and then he power chucked again and I said- i think i should go home now huh!! #-o
It was terrible!! I gave him a wash when he got home and he is better now. In regard to me I am off to get an u/s done coz the doc thinks something could be wrong. I will ring soon to find out when i can get it done. I also still have some carpal tunnels in my hands so that needs to be fixed too!! eek.. I wish i could fast forward 3 months and have life back to normal with my body!!
Quick question- does anyone else's bubba fall asleep whilst having a feed or just after? As much as i try feed play sleep he just wont stay awake and he is a solid sleeper. Nothing wakes him. I tried music, me talking to him, putting the light on etc... nothing but a big snore (which is cute though!!) I am only worried coz i dont want this feed-sleep pattern to emerge.

Pee- Have to say that Hudson didn't really do much playing in between his feeding and sleeping (and crying lol) until just recently. Just really in the last 2 weeks he has finally started the feed play sleep routine. I know they say to do it from early on, the CH nurse told us to at 4 weeks, but he truely just wasn't interested until now. Having said that, I have just fed him and tried to play, but he fell asleep in his bouncer, so I've put him back to bed lol!
oops, also meant to say that he also fell asleep during feeds right up until recently. I used to have to wake him up about 3 or 4 times to get him to finish his bottle.
Ok, and having said THAT, he has just woken up with a big cry that had me running in there cos I thought something was really wrong, and then given me a big grin as if to say 'Hey! It's not sleep time, it's play time!' lol.
PHEW!!! WHAT an afternoon!!!!
Christy and I went on another pram push (with my cousin Mara and her baby girl Tahlia), and we hadn't even walked 500m when my pram must have rolled over a tack and the whole tyre went flat!! :mad:
So then I thought, what a smart girl I am for bringing the tyre pump, but no sooner had I pumped it up then it went flat again!
So our mission for the afternoon changed... we went looking for a bikeshop.... And so we journeyed through the city looking for one, and Christy had to put Matilda in the pouch and push my pram one-handed, while I pushed Aidyn who was in Matildas pram....I have to thank you again Christy, cause I dont know what I would have done if I was on my own!!!!
anyway we eventually found a bikeshop, and while we waited for it to be fixed we let the babies roll around on some blankets (except for Aidyn who was fast asleep... I think he found Matildas pram to be very comfy, LOL!)
Anyway, I just pray that doesnt happen again in a hurry, especially if I'm on my own, as the wheel rim would be likely to get wrecked if I left Aidyn in it whilst pushing it along.
Anyway, sorry for that epic!! I will come back and reply to everyone posts after Aidyn is in bed!!!
OMG Ambah. I never even thought of that happening and Hudsons jogger has pump up tyres too. I wonder if the tyre repair kits that you get for bike tyres would work as a temporary fix? Might have to check out the one DH has and get one to keep with the jogger if it looks like it would work as like you said, it would stuff the rim if you pushed it around too long like that.
OMG @ Ryley peeing and then power-spewing! LOL Oh, and did you have carpal tunnel syndrome whilst you were PG? I got it whilst PG due to the large amount of fluid I was retaining and I found that it didn't start to go away until 4w post-birth and it was a slow process IYKWIM. My hands pretty much feel normal now though. I'm just wondering if you're still retaining a bit of fluid which may be causing it?? Sorry...just thinking out loud!! I hope everything goes well with your u/s scan matey.
About the sleeping during feeds - yep, Jacob has done that too. We have tried implementing a sleep/feed/play routine from quite early on and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I basically just go with whatever he wants to do as I don't really like to wake him to play if he doesn't want to as it would just result in him getting cranky. During the night he just gets settled right away and he's used to that so we don't have any probs there which is good. When we do the play thing, once his movements get a bit jerky or he yawns or lets out a little grizzle, then I stop the play time and start to settle him for sleep.
Ambah - spewing about the tyre!! I have a friend who has a pram with those pneumatic tyres and she bought a spare one that she takes with her everywhere as she had exactly the same thing happen, in which case the tyre pump does nothing!!! So maybe you might want to think about getting a spare one too to avoid that happening again?! It's good that Christy was with you....I know if it happened to me I'd be in a hell of a state as well LOL!!

what an adventure Ambah and Christy had. I need some adventures, although not quite that dramatic thanks. I cant wait till the weather is nice enough to go out walking. It's all very well to hve a pump isn't it but you also need a repair kit complete with glue and patches.
My cousin took her 1 and 4 yr olds to the city, got on an escaltor with her pram. (which is not allowed). consequently the wheel got caught in the escalator, with her ds in the pram, she was screaming for saomeone to help her and someone did, but the problem was she now had a 3 wheeled pram. So she wheeled it somehow through melbourne to Myer where she proceeded to tell the shop assistant she wanted a pram, she wanted it assembled and she wanted them to dispose of the 3 wheeled pram. I think the shop assisstant was a littl afraid of her as she was a littl crazy. They did everything she said with a smile. I was roflmao when she told me, it could only happen to her!
Welcome Spiddles, it's much the same here as in the last forum except heaps busier. And welcome vicki, I think i remember reading your story.
Mostly jessica falls asleep during her feed which is why mostly she only drinks 80 ml. Ryley reminds me of my 3rd, Jemma Pee as she had the same sort of appetite and along with that she was a sleeping machine, probably because of that.
Jessica does have quite a bit of awake time though, usually about 1 hr after every few feeds she wakes and has a little play and a chuck and a laugh.
She is so good at going into bed awake, I am proud of her and we had last feed last night at 8.40 and was up at 4.30 am. So we are getting there.

I'm so tired now though!! It was a big arvo and then caught the train home & AGAIN no one would move out of my way so I had to shove people out of the entrance of the train to get the pram through [-X ... but it was funny too because I just pushed the pram straight into the people who were blocking the doorway and just looking around for someone else to do something... oh well.... I was tired and thats my excuse & I'm sticking to it, it may have worked better if Matilda was screaming instead of sleeping!!! (amazing...) I put her in the pram on her belly and she went to sleep within 5 minutes!! WOW!!!

LOL Pee, sometimes I used to feed Aidyn just to get him to sleep!!!! I think its good that Ryley is a solid sleeper though... IMO it is always good when they sleep well!! ;) I found that as Aidyn got older he stopped the 'feed-sleep' routine and now he generally feeds after waking, then plays...
I can't believe Ryley and the peeing, then double power spewing!!! That it pretty bad, LOL!!! The worst I have had is Aidyn peeing on me, then straight after doing a projectile poo straight onto me!! (he was on the changetable at the time)
Christy - I can't believe those rude people would not move over for the pram!!! GRRRRR!!! I have had that on the ferry a couple of times too, as there is only one designated place for people with prams, and sometimes other people just sit there like stunned mullets ignoring the big sign next to them that tell them to vacate for people with prams, GRRRR!!
Michelle - LMAO about your cousin and the pram!!! (although I think it was pretty dangerous to take it on the escalator with her ds in it!!)
Kelly - bet your house will be quiet with the older kids gone!! But I'm sure you will enjoy it! :)
How about we swap, I go over to yours and clean up, and you can come here and finish mine up for me!! Cause when I say I 'cleaned' that only meant that I did the dishes and vacuuming and strightening things up a bit. There is still a whole bathtub full of clothes that needs to be taken care of!! LOL

Arghhhhh... I'm getting really frustrated! I have been up with Aidyn since 5am this morning (its now 8am) because the poor boy is in pain with his teeth. He keeps punching his mouth and grumbling, and I have given him teething drops, bonjela, cold teething rings but nothing seems to be helping... On any normal day (for the past few months!) he would go down for a nap only an hour after he first wakes, but he's already been up for 3, and its not doing his temperment any good.
[-o< ing for him to go to sleep...
oh yuck Ambah!! I hope Aidyn gets some sleep!! & you get a rest from the temperment!! Its hard to watch them go through this! Matilda did it yesterdy morning for 2 hours and then it took an hour for her to settle to sleep and only slept for an hour ](*,) ](*,) just enough time for me to run around the house picking things up & tidying and then I sat down with a cup of coffee and she woke up...
But we havehad another good night,,,Matilda went to bed at 7.30, woke at 1am! and the at 5.15am! and then back to sleep until 6.45....
Pee... I've had conflicting advice from the CHN, the early childhood centre, the bf association and the midwives all along.... :-s its so confusing, so what I did was trial everything for a week or so and see what worked best for Matilda, and then I lost confidence big time, because what worked well for Matilda wasn't working well for me... anyway... Ive been reading a book called "Parenting by Heart" by Pinky McKay and its helping me regain confidence in my parenting choices etc.... But I have found now that she automatically went into the routine of waking up and feeding & play then to sleep again... it doesn't work everytime, but the majority...
BTW another achievement thats now happened 3 times this week is Matilda has fallen asleep in my arms!! Bliss.... she's never done that before... she's just screamed the whole time, she's only fallen asleep on the boob before and then as soon as you put her down she screams, so I don't count those experiences but she's fallen asleep as I've rocked her & cuddled her & I have to say that was the most enjoyable ever....
YAY for Matilda falling asleep in your arms!!!! It's pretty nice isn't it!
I hope poor little Aidyn has gone down for some sleep Ambah, the poor little man!! Teething must be nasty....
Well we've had another first here....Jacob laughed for the first time yesterday!!! Well, it was his first 'proper' laugh....he's been laughing when he's tired and half asleep for a while now, but yesterday was the first time he did it whilst he was awake IYKWIM.....unfortunately I didn't witness it until later in the day.....it was DH who got the laugh first! LOL He did it again today as DH was attempting some rather bad beat-boxing and waving Jacob's arms about ROFLMAO. Clearly Jacob found DH's noises as amusing as I did heheheheee.....I tell you what though, I thought smiling was special! The laughing is soooo gorgeous!!
Christy: Its is lovely when they fall asleep in your arms. I have made it a habit of placing Bailey in his cot awake but when I'm out @ mother's group he always falls asleep in my arms. He is so heavy that my arm goes dead for about 30 minutes. I also remember reading that you have read "100 ways to calm the crying" from Pinky McKay. I just borrowed it and have just started it. When I borrowed it though; the librarian just said to me..."it doesn't look like that you need this book!". Bailey was very happy in his pram.
Ambah: Bailey hasn't started teething yet and I'm dreading the time. He has woken after the morning naps with rosy cheeks though.
Michelle: I was thinking of taking Bailey's pram on the escalators once but now I don't think so. I'll stick to the lifts!
Well we're having a nice quiet afternoon here today as we have such a busy weekend ahead of us.
