    I usually get a nice even weave cream fabric to cover the back to stop any of the threads being pulled etc if they get caught on something, especially if it going to be used. If it is only for decoration, it doesn't really matter.

    Thanks for the link BW Lots of work in that! I get what you mean by the fringing now... and yes, I would back it if you are going to use it... or are you going to hang it?
