Serger skipping stiches

I had similar issue and was going crazy trying to fix it, re-threading it...Went back to the shop..

Anyway, the problem was right at the top of the machine where the thread first comes from the spools down. One of my threads had gone the wrongside of the metal bit, or not clicked in properly and so the tension was out. Don't know if this is your prob, but it's an easy one to check..

Also - when you rethread it, make sure it's done in exactly the order that the instruction booklet describes. You wouldn't think it would make a difference, but my machine just knows...!

Adjust the tension on the straight stitches down a bit. Make sure your loopers are meeting in the middle first and then try those. It can take a bit of fiddling so use scrap fabric the same as what you are sewing.

Depending on the density of the fabric I'm sewing I get the same problem and this helps!

So ... my machine knows when I'm badmouting it on BB . . .. . eeeekkk. I did a whole lot of serging last night and NOT ONE SKIPPED STICH I was sitting there actually begging it to skip a stich, because I just KNOW it will and nothing

she probably had a AF moment hehehehe .... thanks for all the advice, I'll use it once she acts up again.

Going to make some breastpads tonight (serging in the round) , so hopefully she;ll do what she is told.
