This is too weird... my Bookclub IRL is doing Love in the time of Cholera next month. Freeaaakkkyyy...but that's my pick!

Btw, it sells for $9.95 penguin classics in most book shops.

Do we have a deadline for when we should have read it by?

maybe mrs s, you could edit the first post and put the timelines for reading/discussion and the title of the book, so we can use that as a reference?

Thanks for organising this - I'm really looking forward to it. I've found it hard to get stuck into my reading since having DS. Now I've got a fantastic excuse!!

I am so looking forward to being a part of this bookclub. Thanks MrsS!
I have just placed Love in the Time of Cholera on reserve at my local library. Gee, if I had a Kindle, I could have downloaded it and be reading it now!

    Freya, I have PM'd my 3 suggestions.

Kaz, I agree that 'We need to talk about Kevin' would be a great book for a book club discussion.

Great choice, I am looking forward to reading the book I wanted to see the film, but never did...
I have just reserved it at the library. Bayside library in Melbourne has got another copy on the shelves in case anyone lives around here...

You dont have to suggest but you could try looking at a book review website or a bookstore for some idea's.

It would be handy to read books none of us have read or that might be out of a 'comfort zone'.

I got it!! Finally found a copy at the library. After I put it on hold.... but they have decided to transfer the country library copy to me instead Oh well, I've got it. I'm all enthused now, and I am going away for a couple weeks from next week so hopefully lots of reading time!!
