Hollybolly-Good idea about picking the books a few months ahead of time because i see that some have only just got their copy

I'm also only up to the beginning of the second chapter I'm trying so hard to find the time but i'm struggling.

Boomba you've got the right book Once you get into chapter 2 it'll be like reading a different book. Don't know what it was about chapter 1 but it does seem to get a bit more interesting and easier to read.

DH is going away for 4 days, i hopefully will get some time over the weekend to get a good chunck of it read

I'm still stuck..... I know it will get better, and I think I have hit the point where it starts to go uphill, but with my limited time it really isn't calling me back so I tend to be distracted by all the other things I need to do. Can someone come and belt me around the head with it until I start reading it again????

Are we still trying to read Love in the Time of Cholera... I haven't started yet but I've got a copy of the movie so I can always PRETEND I've read it, just to help the conversation .

I think discussion was from the 20th - tomorrow. I was awake for 3 hours in the middle of the night the other night so figured i would try and catch up on some reading. Or at the very least it would put me back to sleep.

Well I read heaps, although I am still in the middle of chapter 2, and it didn't put me to sleep. But, I still really have no inclination to pick it back up again. There is just too much waffle going on in between the story line for my liking!!

Marydean, I was thinking I might get the movie just so i can understand the plot line at the very least to be able to contribute even a little to the discussion!!

damn sleepless nights & baby brain....

I was at the library & wandering around thinking
'I know there's something I'm meant to be looking for... what was it? I think it had something to do with Bellybelly...'

So I wandered around in the parenting section for a bit then gave it up & went home

yes, that's right.... I don't have the book yet

I'm not sure Mrs S. I think I will struggle, and I know there seems to be alot of people that are way off finishing..... I think if i tried to finish this one it still would be another 2 or 3 weeks before I got through it, and like I said, it isn't calling me!! But i am happy to go with whatever, I had already resigned myself to either finishing it or not finishing it and giving my input to the discussion where I can.

I don't know what page I am up to.... she just arrived back for anyone playing at home!

Jasp! That sounds like me too!

I am so glad to hear that others have struggled to get into this book. I am a great reader and will read anything and everything, usually multiple times but this book I really struggled with. It was interesting for me to react this way to a fiction book so I've given lots of thought to why that might be.

Happy to start the discussion anytime but perhaps a little more time would be good? Just thinking that it will be better to discuss if more people have finished it and I don't want to give away too much by being the first to start
