Southern Hemisphere Months and Seasons books for Toddlers

So have just been reading DD one year with Kipper and realized that although was all correct in my mind (grew up in the UK) the months seasons are all wrong for this part of the world. I find it quite hard not to think of July as a summer month etc, so are there toddlers books out there which reflect the months/seasons correctly for the southern hemisphere (e.g. Melbourne type weather??). Not necessarily looking for an educational book, just ones where July is cold etc.

Is a bit like in books here you see pigs linked with sausages which is normal for the UK (99% of sausages are pork based), but sausages are mostly beef here but am yet to see a book with a picture of a cow next to a sausage :-)

There are Aussie Christmas books with Father Christmas in thongs and boardies (shorts).

I have not really come across an Australian book that talks about seasons. Lots of other things, but not seasons.

I find a lot of books a struggle. "Cookies and milk" "Peanut butter and jelly" "Fall" instead of "Autumn", but then most of the Aussie written books are too over the top with their Australianism and thinking everyone lives in the Outback.

I have some Winnie the Pooh books where the seasons have been changed so they are appropriate for the Southern Hemisphere, I think they were Reader's Digest books (my Grandma bought them for DS1). They are very clear seasons though, snow for winter, orange leaves falling in Autumn... so we have still had to talk about how our seasons here in QLD aren't as clear cut. You would probably find something if you searched online, but I don't think it matters too much. Just talk about how and why it is different here to in the book you are reading.

I did do a search online but did not really come up with anything, is more for to help me really, as during reading the kipper book was thinking yes April is like that etc and realised I find it hard to think oh yes June is like this here October like that etc. It will come over the years I expect.

Well I have found some books at the library for Juniors on the subject - so I am going to get the winter one out and educate myself and make a toddler suitable guide for DD.

Just came across a book in the school book club list:
"A Year on our Farm"

A beautifully illustrated story that shows the changing of the seasons through the eyes of children that live on an Australian Farm

sounds interesting, I might pick it up as it is only $6 with the book club rather than $16

Thanks for highlighting this one - I have checked and they have in our library so although is a bit old for my DD (says 8-10) I am going to reserve it for me. The review says

"Wonderfully illustrated story of life on the farm. Each month gets two pages, explaining the activities for that time of year. Seasons, farm tasks, life cycles and animals all get a go"
