I just finished The Sending. Very ho hum about it. It annoyed me in the beginning that Carmody felt the need to explain everything that previously happened (like, why Dragon was in a coma, where Matthew was, relationship between Elspeth and Rushton). She did it in Keeping Place too and it's such an annoying obvious page filler that is completely pointless. You don't start reading the series half way through!!!

But it did get better. It was interesting to see Elspeth's quest finally start, but I don't like the way it ended somewhat hanging...who knows how many years we have to wait for the final book. The publisher is saying next year, but we've heard that before.

Now I'm onto My Sister's Keeper. Never read it before. Haven't seen the movie either.

I read The Sending recently too. I was so disappointed to realise I had just read 750 pages of nothing & I still had to wait for yeat another book. I hope it doesn't take as long this time. I'm sure when I first started looking for the release date for the sending it was sometime in 2006 & it only just came out with an extra book in between and another one to come when it was all supposed to be one book. She really drags it out

I read My Sister's Keeper before reading The Sending. I enjoyed it. I watched the movie straight after as I had taped it off the TV while reading it. It was pretty good too. Enjoy!

I'm now reading book 2 of the song of fire & ice series - A Clash of Kings.
