Hey all,
I am pretty sure that on the small packets of Coles brand Australian Green Beans there is a recipe for a really yummy looking bean salad. Now, I *thought* I had kept this recipe, but evidently, been a little too exuberant in my cleaning up and have thrown it out . I have a 1kg bag in my freezer now, and its a different recipe. I only want it as it looked like a salad that would actually get eaten here, and I want to make it for a picnic on Sunday.
Has anyone got a pack of beans in the freezer that they can share the recipe with me.... PLEASE?
there was one I used, but it was from the bag of a packet of fresh green beans. It had bacon/proscuitto, pine nuts and lemon juice. Does that sound like the one?
Toast the pinenuts. Crisp the bacon and break into small pieces. Toss through cooked beans with some lemon juice. I can't remember the quantities and there may be an ingredient missing, but it is a good enough basis to work with.
I saw that recipe Kate, I might try it at a later date (haven't got any pumpkin! ).
I went to coles today and looked on the little packets of beans, but its got the same recipe as the bigger bags. Oh well. It was mainly green beans, butter beans, and some seasonings. I don't know if there was any tomato in it or anything, but I'll experiment.
Thanks! Feel free to post a green bean salad recipe though!
