sorry, i just read your post...i hope they turned out okay - no strict rules.....2-3 berries, i usually fill the patty pans 3/4 (we dont have a very good oven....). Learn as you go i say......

Ohhhh and i did have 2 little helpers - and a very dirty kitchen floor afterwards, two messy little faces, and two tops that needed to be thrown in the washing machine straight away...so whilst they were delicious......it did make more work for me.....

mbear ... made them this morn, ... thank you so very much as they are just delicious

If anyone is interested i bought a vanilla cake mix in box from Aldi (69cents) and box of frozen mixed berries from Aldi (i think $6.99, & don't have added sugar) ... I used paper patty pans placed in muffin tin holes, filled about 3/4 & popped 3 berries on each

I made about six large ones in my muffin tray without patty pans but the berries sunk to the bottom & hence got stuck to the bottom of the muffin tray even though i sprayed tray with canola oil ... but i would certainly recommend using the paper patty pans (i buy Coles white coloured cheap generic brand ones) ... as it makes heaps

Thanks again mbear as they are gonna be a favourite in this household
