In all my apocalypse planning, I never considered that we would be living in a world with no chocolate. Lucky that meteor missed.

Would be helpful to know what sort of apocalypse it is though. Zombie would be a lot different to nuclear winter. With zombies or superbug you could still grow crops, but meteor strike/nuclear events would mean that you wouldn't have the cropping option.

Apparently it is going to be in short supply and going up in price 200% in the next few months because Obamas slight change in the gun laws in America has caused a knee jerk reaction and they have bought up large. There was a useless bit of info for you. Entirely hearsay too, I haven't even verified the info.

also we already have 30ish bottles of preserved tomato salsa...a little bit of summer in each one! good for the long long nights of nuclear winters OR zombie apocalypse.

mi goren noodles. love that stuff. i remember after the tsunami they were part of the emergency food kits too. i told DH that it was proof that they were good for you. he rolled his eyes so much i feared they might never roll back.

definitely some chickens and a rooster. they eat the scraps and you get eggs! and an alarm clock.
