Am making a big batch of vegie and meat soup today for DS (he is such a pedantic eater) and usually when I give him the soup I shred the meat up in it after it is cooked so it is more of a complete meal IYKWIM?

So I was wondering if I shred up the meat and add it to the soup as per usual and then put it in small containers could I then freeze it or would the meat absorb a bit of the soup and then become yucky when defrosted?

I have frozen things like meat pasta sauce, sheperds pie etc before after the meat has been cooked but for some reason this is confusing me...one of those days I think!
