    Home Made Pizza

I've come across a really easy and delicious pizza dough recipe, we normally make our own meat lovers pizza but I was wondering other peoples favorite delicious toppings.

Some vegetarian ideas would be great too as i want to do a pizza night with HotI and her DH

If any one wants the dough recipe I can post it here.

Potato and bacon - Steam/boil/microwave potatoes until just tender, cool then slice into rounds. Cover base in BBQ sauce, layer on potatoes diced bacon and cheese. Once cooked dollop on sour cream and sprinkle with chives.

    BBQ chicken, bacon and mushroom.

Veg - Capsicum, red onion, mushrooms, pineapple, tomatoes (a mix of red and yellow works nicely), spinach, oregano, the key to a good veg pizza is a really good sauce on the base it has to be tasty.

I love roasted pumpkin, thinkly sliced potato, thinly sliced zuchinni, fresh corn kernals - not necessarily all together. Often I do left over roast beef and roast pumpkin - usually put bbq sauce on the base and thinly sliced onion, with a little cheese on top. Also love chicken, sweet corn with sweet chilli sauce on base.

if i hadnt already put the chilli con carne on for tonight id be doing pizza...tomorrow though!

the potato one is awesome, although i dont put bbq. if i have time il roast a whole garlic so its super tasty and just sread that on the base, with slices of potato, parsley and cheese!!! OMG so yum!!!!

our base is pretty much exactly the same but i add a tspn of sugar with the salt. i think it needs it.

my fav take away pizza is a chilli duck with bbq sauce instead of tomato. SO yum but a bit exxy to make at home.

Hmm maybe when we organise it it can be a 'design your own' pizza night, we buy the ingredients and we can all build our own

    Best Recipe:

    Thin Turkish Bread Base

Beetroot Tzatziki as the sauce on the base.

    Topping:

    Roast Pumpkin Cubes
    Lentils (from a can)
    Lamb

    Topping Sauce:
    Natural Yoghurt
    Fresh Mint
    Minced Garlic

Roast the pumpkin until Golden, while cooking the lamb pieces on the stove top. Once the pumpkin is cooked, mix through the lentils and cook until the lentils are heated through.

    Assemble the pIzza:

Taost the turkish bread a little before assembling. Spread the beetroot dip evenly over the bread and then layer with roast pumpkin/lentil mix and lamb.

Sprinkle a little bit of 'meltable' cheese on top.

Bake in the oven until the cheese is melted.

Top with the yoghurt sauce (a bit of natural yoghurt, fresh mint leaves torn up and a spoon of minced garlic)

Dollop the sauce over the pizza and serve.

    SOOOOOOOOOOOO yummy!

I have a nice one where you put basil pesto on the base, and then I just buy a hot chicken and pull off all the best bits and with that I add cherry tomatoes quartered and some feta. I don't add any other cheese, just crumble the feta. I have had lots of compliments on this pizza too. I usually make my own pesto from scratch, but you could use a jar one if you didnt have the time to make your own.
