    Cool How long do I cook this for....

    I bought a meat pack from the butcher and it came with a massive juciy rib fillet roast with mushroom and garlic butter in the centre....how long would I cook it for per kilo?? it is round and approx 20cm wide!! Its huge.

    Ohh and I will most likely brown it before I put it in the oven.

    General rule of thumb is 1 hour per KG, but I tend to check it about 10 minutes less per KG, so for a 3 kg roast I would check it 30 minutes before I think it should be done.

    180 - 200. You can always leave it in a bit longer on the lower temp if it isn't done.

    I'm coming for tea, with the size of it there will be plenty of leftovers. KS1 will finish it for you.
    Hope it turns out deliciously juicy & tender.

    Yeah it is huge for the two of us but i will just freeze a couple of meals for myself when DH is away at work.
