    I'm exhausted...

    I've been cooking all afternoon...

I'm having BIL over tonight and we're having a 3 course meal & drinks...

    First up:
Vue de Monde's French onion soup (made with duck fat & veal stock)

    Then:
Jamie's Leek & Thyme Chicken Breasts Wrapped in Pancetta & Steamed Brocolli with beurre blanc

    Finishing with:
Vue de Monde's Apple Tarte tartin with Calvados Caramel Sauce & Double Cream

And then we're having a few drinks...

I've made my greek potatoes but instead of olive oil I made it with duck fat & white wine... yum... And I've made the soup... just have to cook the gruyere puff pastry for the soup and the tart tartin...

Oh and I'm in the middle of vaccuming and mopping LOL!

    WOOT!

I'll pop back later and tell you all how good it was

    *hugs*

hmmmmm, puts tonights pasta bake to shame!!!

we don't normally get adventurous when the rello's come over - they never cook themselves roasts, so for them, plain old roast is a treat!

i really need to start getting more creative...

I reckon Cailin should cook at the next BB event...

In fact, forget a restaurant, everyone should invite themselves round to her house

Dinner sounds great.. boy reading about food makes me crave stuff.. even looking at the supermarket catalogue is doing that for me atm!

Have a great dinner, enjoy the company and hope you get a chance to put your feet up afterwards (make them all do the washing up)

LOL Bath, its now missing the vital hallucinogenic ingredient (damnit! J/K). Its basically jet fuel with a slight aniseedy taste. I made freudian sips, which is a absinthe, dom benedict, french apple liquer, apple juice and splash of lemon juice. You put a sugar cube on an absinthe spoon over the glass pour the absinthe over then light the sugar cube and let it melt then once the flame is out mix the sugar into the drink. Its potent and yummy. I stole the recipe from a favourite bar of mine.

    I must post recipes...

    Yes, you must

*looking into my crystal ball* I see Bathsheba sipping her absinthe ****tail and clicking on the scales on the top right hand corner of the post containing the recipe* (hehe... j/k!!!)

ETA: I hope that joke wasn't in bad taste... excuse the pun... you know I would never blatantly disregard the guidelines of our new Reputation system don't you!
