    Improving taste of water

Im usually a big water drinker but am really struggling to drink any at the moment, so was wondering if anyone had any tips on what I can add to it to improve the flavor.

Ive tried slices of lemon. No good.
Doesnt make a difference if its room temp, cold or hot, bottled, boiled or tap. It all tastes awful. I cant even describe the flavor. Just yuck.

Trying to avoid sugary/cordial type drinks but will try it if nothing else works.

sorry but the only thing that would work for me was cordial. Not the really sugary stuff but the bickfords lemon cordial etc (not the overly sweet crap, highly coloured stuff).

But I had the same all three pregnancies, and cordial helped heaps and it helped with my blood sugar levels which always drop in first trimester, help with blood pressure too Im sure

I don't do lemon slice, but squeeze the juice of a lemon in it to taste. I stared with 10 drops at the start, now do about half a lemon. I can't drink plain water either.

What about some mandarin slices. or pump does a really nice mango flavour. I prefer cold water out of a glass bottle. I also just made some home made cordial its delicious.

Apple and cinnamon sticks in the water.
Chill them they are good for a few refills in a large jug.

It was quite good for my morning sickness with dd.

    Hope it helps.

Have you tried soda water or plain sparkling mineral water?
    The bubbles might help?
I also mix soda water with Pomegranate or cranberry juice sometimes.

Cardemon pods give a lovely flavor. Also cold fruit or herbal tea watered down. There is a reasonably new cordial available from woollies that's sweetened with stevia, much nicer than the sugary or artificially sweetened ones

I was the same, I found that really diluted cordial worked or mixing cranberry juice with soda water.

I agree with beansbeans, I rather diluted lemon cordial preferably with cold water was about the only way I could get any fluid down the start of this pg (youre in no danger of getting over weight so that's a bonus ). Also do you have a filter? The britex ones work really quite well and aren't very expensive, the jugs with replaceable filters are around $30 from bigW Kmart etc, or can get the water bottles with mini filter. Just a suggestion.

I was the same when I was preg with DS and I couldn't tolerate water at all and that's usually all I drink. I ended up adding cordial to it which helped alot. Like you I don't usually drink sugary drinks but nothing else helped.

I used to be soooo bad at water too but what helped was a really good water filter. I find all the different water filter options confusing but I got a great one from Blue Zone Water - Jody is really lovely, met him at a business seminar and he really knows his stuff about water. It is so much easier to drink, feels lighter, refreshing and I never get that bloaty feeling from drinking it. When we put our kitchen in and disconnected the filter, it reminded me of how terrible tap water is - even though we get used to it. The Blue Zone filter I have adds antioxidants into the water too If you mix it with anything that doesn't have caffeine (a cup of coffee for example dehydrates you more than the water will hydrate you) then its a win.
