I must say I am slightly intrigued to give it a try!! May give butter a go sometime to start.

Yum, I've been thinking of making my own yogurt. Just using some left over natural yogurt as my starter culture.

I'm using tub set natural yoghurt. I'll add more than it says for the first batch to get a thicker yoghurt and hopefully as time goes by with using my own starter it will remain thick. I'll be sure to reserve some yoghurt for each batch.

It's amazing but yoghurt is a great starter for lots of things, you can add yoghurt to cream to make sour cream (after cooking of course) it's amazing I'm loving it all.

I still think my ricotta is better than anything I've ever had. And my spreadable butter tastes way better than any butter substitute I've ever tasted.

I've made my own cultured butter and normal butter. The cultured butter is delectable. I also turn it into garlic and herb butter. I haven't made spreadable butter though.

I am also a little intrigued. What is this device you speak of?

I know how to make yoghurt and ricotta style cheese on the stove top, but I'm still intrigued...

Rouge has gone to the dark side

Such a slacker here, have access to raw milk, have often talked about making things with it, but never get round to it. With the amount of yoghurt we are going through, it is something we need to do.

DH does a soft cheese from yoghurt, which is really yummy.

Yeah I'm going to make cream cheese from yoghurt (I imagine it's similar).

Yes I've gone to the dark side.
