Grated onion
Grated cheese
Egg
Bread crumbs
Tomato paste
Minced garlic

All to taste

I put all that in mine. The cheese sometimes. Then put them in an oven tray with bolognese/pasta sauce over the top & cook like that. Served with spaghetti pasta.

Ha, I make mine exactly the same way as you Christy (the plain ones), and then put them in to some sort of tomato sauce. Sometimes I'll put in a bit of a Indian jar sauce too, which is pretty nice.

I tend to cheat with these too....we tend to buy good quality Italian Fennel sausages, remove the skins and make meatballs from the filling.
