The brand is Kahvecioglu. Its only sold at certain stores, so not through supermarkets. It's only $6.99 for 2kg bucket which is really cheap and the quality is superb. Real thick set yogurt. Best to ring the manufacturer to find the closest seller near you. Highly recommended.

I haven't tried the turkish natural yoghurt, but the one you get at the supermarket, I make my own tzatziki with it... better than the store bought ones!

Doubt we will have it down this way Might have to hassle the dairy next door for some milk so I can make my own yoghurt.

if you want to make your own, try the EasyYo yoghurt maker found in coles or safeway supermarkets in the dessert section. I wasnt sure what to expect from it but I bought the kit (only $25) and was really happy with the results. The only thing i'd say about it is, dont bother with the flavoured mixes (yuk)....just get the natural yoghurt mix.. It makes beautiful yoghurt, creamy, lowfat, no sugar or preservatives or additives etc...lots of culture and it tastes georgeous. Each satchel costs about $3 and makes 1 litre of yogurt.

I make (sometimes) my own yoghurt, WITHOUT a yoghurt maker/easiyo/etc. You just need a tablespoon or so of natural yoghurt as a starter per litre of milk. It makes really thick yoghurt.

I thought I had posted the recipe somewhere, I will have a look-see.

My mum makes her own yoghurt like yours Netix.

I just purchased a 5kg bucket of the kahvecioglu yoghurt for $13.99 and 3 different jams for our home made fruity yoghurt. It is absolutely divine. With $13.99 you would probably only be able to buy 2 x 12 packs of fruit yoghurt. Soooooo expensive.
