Hi Andie!! Thats great to hear!! We (me and DH) are thinking that there are sometimes foods that we will allow back into it after the challenge, mainly things like coconut palm sugar in small amounts if needed for a recipe, and honey, and dark chocolate (the really really expensive 80% cocoa one!). Not sure about other things yet, guess it depends on how our body feels once we eat it again.

We are finding it easy too at home, packing things for DH's lunch at uni has been tough though, but I'm starting to bake some stuff up now so he should be ok to take some different stuff and not load up on so much fruit.

Hi there girls, I've loosely followed GAPS (going to start hard core in the New Year I think), and it's been wonderful for my eczema! Once I have done the introduction diet again of GAPS and introduce the good fermented foods again and get back on track with grain free eating etc I will be eating Paleo/Primal for the long term goal This year I'd say I'm been grain free for maybe half of the year which alone has made a massive difference. I was Vegetarian for about 7 years and so was hubby for nearly 20 years! I slowly increased the amount of meat I was eating over the last 12 months (all organic) and dh is only having organic meat once or twice a week. It's a long process converting but I think it's been teh way to go for me as I notice a massive difference!

I saw someone mentioned the website Marks Daily Apple in your thread back in January Mrs Nerd Burger... I had a look on there about 6 months ago, there's loads of good info.

As for the food I've mastered my almond bread and a coconut flour slice, sweet cocoa biscuts and savory almond crackers so that helps me get over carb cravings as such. There is also cauliflower rice out there, I haven't tried to make it but loads of people say it's great.

I also love putting meat in the slow cooker in the morning and it's ready for dinner without a fuss and I eat it with fresh salad from our garden YUM. I've really lost my way over the last month though and slipped back into old habits... A bit disappointed in myself!

Eat like a Dinosaur is a great book with lots of ideas for kids food
