If you are happy to cook your rice/pasta/potato in the microwave, could you just make up a big batch of sauce and freeze it in zip lock bags?

Otherwise, I suppose you could look up recipes and just mix the dry ingredients in a bag, with instructions on what wet ingredients to add?

Looking forward to reading the other suggestions too!

    Chicken Fettuccini
    Fettacini Pasta (boil)

    In fry pan
    onion
    chicken
    diced bacon
Cook til chicken is cooked through.

Add thickened cream & broken up chicken stock cubes (don't worry about dissolving in water first) Stir for a few minutes

Add pasta & simmer til cream thickens.

Can add shallots, mushrooms, parmesan. I put all in 'cept parmesan coz I keep forgetting to buy it!

If you leave the chicken out it can be a side dish, or a full meal with the chicken

OK I have been experimenting & this is what I have come up with for chicken curry pasta & sauce side dish

    In a zip-lock bag:
1-1 1/2 cups small/quick cooking pasta (I used pasta pronto, 3 mins to cook normally)
    1 tsp curry powder
    1 tbsp corn flour
    1 tsp chicken stock
    dash of salt & pepper
    1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp tumeric (to make it yellow)

Make sure there's no lumps in the powders/flours

Then when you are ready to cook, put in a microwave safe bowl & add
    1 tbsp marg or butter
    1/2 cup milk
    1 1/4 cup boiling/hot water

Microwave 6-8 mins depending on mircowave & stir 3-4 times during cooking
