Puppy Treats made from Baby food

I just found these while i was looking for home made baby food recipes, Thought some of you girls with furkids & left over baby food could use it

these are for dogs... not bubs... lol

3 jars beef baby food or chicken baby food (or left over home made pureed meat)
1/4 cup powdered milk
1/4 cup wheat germ or cream of wheat

Combine ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Roll into small balls and place on well-greased cookie sheet.
Flatten slightly with a fork.
Bake in preheated 350 F oven for 15 minutes or until brown.
Cool on wire racks and STORE IN REFRIGERATOR -- also freezes well.

These are supposed to be soft-ish & chewy.

One thing I would do is substitute the milk products for something else. Lactose and cows milk proteins are toxic to dogs and can cause problems with their gastrointestinal system.
