I am hoping someone will answer this post VERY quickly!!

I want to cook a whole chicken in my slow cooker (6 litre) and I have never cooked a whole chicken before EVER - not even in the oven!

So I was going to stuff the cavity with lemons and garlic - that part I figured out fairly easily on my own.

Then I DID look at the slow cooker recipes sticky about doing roasts and the hint about putting the roast or chicken on foil, potatoes, onions, or an overturned saucer to keep it off the bottom of the cooker.

But what I haven't been able to find is anything that says whether I need to put any liquid in the bottom of the slow cooker. Or does the chicken create enough quickly enough that it won't be a problem???

If someone could help me quickly it would be appreciated. I'm hoping to prepare everything tonight and keep it in the fridge - then pop it in the slow cooker in the morning before I leave the house!

Thanks in advance,
Heidi
