You can cook it similar to rice. Boiled or steamed. It has 'shells' that comes apart & a bit of nutty flavour.

The first time I tried it, it was made with rice + ratatouille kinda mix. Delicious. I add a handful into my rice just for texture & diff flavour & something different. Great to use also as base to some salads. (both quinoa by itself and the one with rice)

Great for DH who can't have wheat. Another variety of grain.

I've seen a dark coloured one & light coloured one. Dunno if they taste different though.
