I cook it up for DS all the time, he's been eating it since about 6 months. I buy 3 different ones, the lighter colour, brown and the black/redish colour one. The darker the colour the more antioxidants it has. I find the flavor is stronger the darker the colour too. I cook it using the absorption method just like rice and I cook it well so that it's fairly sloppy for DS. I use it in salad too like couscous. As others have said it can be used as a porridge, as a side instead of rice You could put it in a smoothie but I haven't done that.
*det* I'm interested how you use it like LSA as when it's cooked it's a soft texture. Do you grind them up raw like you gind up LSA? I might give that a go if that's what you do.
