I'm too scared to use carrots & apples unless grated. So I found a grated apple, carrot & chicken mince pattie recipe
    That is just beautiful

As usual, I didn't elaborate and say that shhh foods are needed when out & about also.

Our bubs eat foods in there natural source as much as possible . I think I'm becoming a mum who's enticed by
These easy peasy packet snacks, I'm trying to come up with a snacky home made alternative

Or should I just stick, with cut up fruit ?

Why do you grate fruit? Will they not eat it if solid?

DS does NOT eat plain, unadulterated fruit (I still offer it every day) and I don't buy processed foods, so I hear you. I'm always on the lookout for easy healthy (preferably fruit-based) snacks.

    These are our go-to snacks:
Corn cakes, puffed rice, puffed corn (both from the health section - taste like cardboard, but DS eats them, so that's all that matters!), banana chips (found one brand in the fruit shop that's 96% banana and no flavourings), grated cheese. Plus, we always have a freezer full of stuff like 'everyday icecream' (fruit and egg whites), homemade ice blocks (fruit and yoghurt), homemade muffins (w meal flour, no white sugar, puréed fruit), banana pike lets, bikkies, slices etc that DS can eat (he prefers them frozen!).

Sometimes he'll have bran 'worms', oat clusters or just plain dry oats. Occasionally he'll want frozen peach ice cubes or frozen berries, which makes this mummy do handstands, as its pure fruit! Or maybe raw carrot or a whole flat mushroom (a fave when we go shopping - i have to go back, pay for one mushroom, then cop looks from people who think we haven't paid for it). Ok, so DS is a weirdo!

Currently looking into homemade oat clusters, so the oat/ banana things might work for that. And, homemade muesli bars that I can keep in the freezer.

We also went through a chocolate ball stage - blended up nuts, dried fruit and rolled in coconut, but these are out of favour at the moment.

    how old are your bubs?

my DD loved rice crackers and a dip (hommus, tzatziki etc) or a slice of cheese and some strawberries.
blueberries are a fave too, and i make my own LCM's into small squares for a "treat" while i do stuff...

but my DD is 2.5 so these might not work for you

I'd go for more fats and protein snacks if possible. We love cheese, ham slices, a slice of butter, cold baked chicken and ice cream (homemade, honey sweetened) around here

DD3 will get pieces of salami, rice crackers, banana bread, a piece of toast/crumpet or sultanas if I need to distract. Sultanas are the best - minimal effort, maximum time for her to pick them up one by one. There's no eating of whole fruits here either. Very frustrating

Dd1 choked on sultanas in the back of the car and then vomited everwhere when she was 18m so they do need supervision.

Avocado and mountain bread is a good option
