We had a baby Q, that we recently gave to my mother as I got DH a big BBQ for his birthday. I would have LOVED to get him the Family Q becuase they are just brilliant. I loved my baby Q and could cook anything in it. Replaced our oven most of the time. Roasts are OMG good in it.
Well worth the money, one day when we have the cash I'll get DH the family Q![]()
Oohh, so good to see this thread.
We are due to pick up our camper in december and are starting to get all the kit for it now.
We are going to get the Baby Q. It is pretty exxy, $280 for the BBQ, $89 for the stand, $30-$40 for the hotplate (it only comes with the grill, no good for eggs or onions and I hate grilled sausages!) and then the trivet (i think its called?) for doing cakes and roasts is about $10 So yeah, about $400 ish, but we have searched far and wide, and there is just nothing else of comparable quality on the market.
One tip we got told was that for roasts, you need to start with the meat at room temp, anyone else heard this?
OP, what sort of camper do you have?
Sounds like a good idea idea to get one! I had no idea it did cakes! We won't be getting the stand at this point, we've got a couple of tables it can sit on.
Livinthedream - we have a 1970's Sunwagon - it's the style of the Jayco Eagle etc just lots older. Bet you're counting down the days until you get yours, it's just so much fun..
You guys are making me want to get a camper now! Sounds like fun!
Lol, sorry Miss E! I reckon everyone needs a camper![]()
