We have a fig tree in our new house and the figs are ripening. I have managed to rescue a few from the birds eating them and have no idea what to do with them? Another thing is I'm not 100% sure they're ripe! They are green at the stem and a purplish colour at the bottom. They are getting softer (I picked them yesterday) so I assume they are ripe. I opened one up and it looks ripe with pinkish flesh. I tried some of it and it was rather bland. Not yucky, but just not as delishious as I was hoping, lol! So what could I do with them?
