What do you eat for lunch at home?

Hi Girls I am after some lunch ideas for home, usually I have left overs from the night before, but I have family living with me at the moment so all the food is eaten and no leftovers
I am not a fan of frozen bread thawed to make sandwhiches so if I have a sandwhich its toasted but I get bored with the same old thing.
What do you have, I find it really hard being pregnant because I cant eat deli meats etc.
I am after ideas, that I can buy when I do my shopping once a week, please keep in mind that I am pregnant and there are certain things I cannot eat.
Also maybe does someone have a bread roll recipe that is easy to make, maybe I could make fresh bread rolls.
I am looking for quick ideas as well not something time consuming to make.
    TIA xoxo

salad wraps are good and you can personalise it to what you want. if i'm wanting something a bit heavier, i have some of the chicken tenders in the freezer that i stick in the oven

nachos are pretty simple if you like that kind of thing. if you don't want them with corn chips, you can make a similar type dish out using oven-bake wedges instead

ummmm, trying to think what sorts of things i do! i rarely ate sandwiches while pregnant so was always after stuff to eat

eggs - done in any number of ways (so long as the yoke is cooked) - mini quiche (make in bulk and freeze), omellette, scramble...

Lately I am a big fan of wraps - grated cheese, avocado, tomato, whatever salad stuff you have. I usually like meat / chicken, etc on sanwiches, but with wraps it doesn't seem to matter! The wraps keep fresh longer than bread and I tape up the bags to make sure they don't go dry.

Also good are microwaved potatoes with cheese, tomato paste, coleslaw and a dob of sour cream or greek yoghurt on top.

There was something else I had in mind when answering, but DD has interrupted and I have forgotten - will repost when I remember!

i am loving Ainsley's Citrus Couscous at the moment. There is a receipe on the back with tomato and cucumber and feta. YUMMO! Goes well with left over chicken or lamb!

stewed tomato and onion on toast (today's lunch!)

    cup of soup

I always have hot dogs in my freezer for DD and have had them on occasion

    I second eggs!

    salad

    grilled cheese on toast

boiled rice with some soy sauce. easy and yum!

Steamed veggies with tuna mixed through it

Soup with toast (just had that today), it was a tinned one, still nice though.

    Grilled cheese on toast.

    Tuna, cheese and lettuce sandwhiches.

Rice crackers with whatever you like on top. I like philly cheese, capers and smoked salmon, can always use something else if you are avoiding the smoked salmon.

Salada biscuits with whatever you want on them. I still like plain old vegemite and squish the vegemite worms out through the holes!

    Vienese franks.

Jaffles with whatever you have in it..my favourite is baked beans and cheese.

    Boiled eggs with soldiers

French toast with tomato sauce (yum!)

I also keep a couple of the frozen pies in the freezer.

And sometimes I just feel like something..so I always keep a packet of marathon dim sims in the freezer and have those steamed

Eggs work well for me, as well as salad, cheese and mayo rolls (I have been eating commercial mayo through my pregnancy - I know some people avoid it).

A favourite is a toasted sandwich with cheese, sundried tomatoes (only need a couple - they are quite rich) and a few walnut pieces.

Also, adding things like chutney to a plainish sandwich can make it much more exciting.

In winter I like home-made soup with a crusty buttered bread roll.

Sometimes I make salad with feta but not so much since I've been pregnant.

Leftovers are good too - tomorrow we'll have rissole sandwiches with leftover rissoles from tonight.

    Mmmm now I'm hungry!

    some great suggestions here.

I always get some 90second brown rice for when DH is home and mix it with capsicum/corn/peas (or whatever veges I've got), some salmon or tuna and a bit of balsamic dressing - yum.

i have the same problem, i am so fussy that i struggle to find things to eat.
you can buy packets of seaweed, cook some rice and eat with tuna and mayo, pretty yummy, even chuck cooked or raw mushrooms in it, avocado, very healthy and filling lunch, especially yummy if you drink it with green tea!!
Or roasted eggplant with natural yoghurt in a roll is actually really delicious.

DS and I have just had sausage roll, bacon sarnie (with tomato ketchup, crisps with red pepper hummus dip, and we're now considering a yoghurt.

I like cooking up pasta and eating it with herbs and cheese and butter too. If I have some salad I'll add that too.

Rice with peas, sweetcorn, mushrooms, any frozen veg from the freezer... and some thyme is nice. You can add small pieces of meat and fish to this too if you like.

I make up something on Monday morning and have it every day for lunch that week. Eg minestrone or other easy soup, zucchini slice, ratatouille, or hommous. Just make sure that it is easy to cook, nutritious and easy to reheat.
