On weekends we often have bruch, I do a cooked up of bacon eggs etc, often mid lat morning and we might have a snack in the afternoon instead of lunch.
During the week it ranges from left overs, through to scrambled eggs on toast, soup, sandwiches, I did a corned beef the other night so eating that on sangers, some days I can't just decide and evenutlly I think of something, I was thinking of writing a list of my favourite lunches, and then I have my own "menu" for the days I can't decide because seriously I can think about it for an hour or two becuase I just can't think of anything!
Today I had french toast with tomato sauce on top.
Usually I buy the tinned salmon or tuna with flavour in them and make myself up either a sandwhich or wrap.
I also have on standby dim sims in the freezer and steam them up.
Another big favourite is a jaffle, usually with either baked beans or spaghetti and cheese.
Toasted sandwhich.
On the weekends we sometimes buy a cooked chicken and have that on rolls. But usally a sandwhich of some sort. We just had DH's parents over for lunch on the weekend and made up wraps with ham, spinach, hummus, carrott, cheese and alph alpa. Very nice.
I always have ham in the fridge for sandwhiches.
Dips on a sandwhich as a spread can really make them taste great.
I have frozen pies as well as sometimes that is just what hit's the spot.
Two minute noodles.
Sardines on toast or muffins.
Tinned soup and toast.
Baked Beans or Spaghetti on toast.
Smoked salmon with philly cheese and capers on rice cakes (very yummy)!
I will either have a salad sandwhich, some sort of jaffle or toasted sandwhich or sweet chilli chicken wraps.
I buy an extra chicken fillet when I go shopping and I slice it into smaller fingers kind of like what you would get in a box of ingham chicken tenders or the like. I crumb them using mayo and breadcrumbs and freeze them individually so that I can pull one out and pop it into the oven when I feel like it. Takes 20 mins at 200 degrees
I will either put one of these on my salad sandwhich or make the sweet chilli chicken wrap. I always try to keep some lettuce and tomato and beetroot in the house, I also add some cheese a squirt of mayo and obviously some sweet chilli sauce. If I dont have pita wraps I will just make it into a sandwhich.
I am a flavour kind of person, I need lots of flavour not just boring stuff, I dont do soups and being pregnant I cant have deli meats so thats why I pre prepare the chicken and freeze it.
well today i had sausage and hot chip rolls with gravyno wonder my butt is getting so dam big lol..
but normally not much at all i graze and eat bits and pieces more junk food really, sometimes when all the kids are at school we will sneak mcdonals or kfc but other than that nothing we just have a big dinner.
