    What's your favourite breakky?

I want to make DH a really nice hot breakky one day. I can do the normal old bacon and eggs, but was trying to think of something a bit special. He's been sooo lovely and supportive of my hormonal, pregnant-ness and I just want to show him I appreciate his patience when I'm crying over the fact that I want chocolate at 6am (no really!!).

So what's your specialty, what yummo breakky do you make that everyone really raves about??

My DH loves a hot brekky, we try to do it every Sunday!
    Some of our favourites are:

Bacon and egg toasted sandwich - I also put in tomato, cheese and mushrooms
    Omelette with lots of vegies
Pancakes - some favourite toppings are baked apple with cinnamon and banana with walnuts and golden syrup
    Ricotta and spinach pikelets
Toasted croissants with ham, cheese and tomato

Personally, I am a bufet girl The perfect breakfast for me will be something of EVERYTHING!!!

I don't know what your DH likes, but mine is sort-of a grease monkey, so I make him this for supper although he had it once at a diner from the breakfast menu:

You panfry some mushrooms and bacon (chopped) in butter. Then you cut potatoes in little squares and deepfry them in a seperate pot till they are really, really crispy. Then you drain the potato squares and add them to the mushrooms and bacon. Just make sure that there are not to much fluid left from the mushrooms, otherwise the squares are going to go soggy. You just toss that around for like two minutes. Then you put it on two pieces of toast, soft egg on each, cheese on top and round it off with some ground black pepper. That with a cuppa good quality strong black coffee .... yum!!

Well, amazingly enough, DH said he didn't want a cooked brekky this morning!!! We always have a cooked brekky on Sunday, most often pancakes. He's more concnerned about how we're going to eat a cooked lunch, complete with dessert, and then do the same at dinnertime . TBH, he never worries about having to eat too much, he's usually more bothered about whether or not there will be enough......I personally think he's just trying to be kind to me, as I've not been feeling well. Which is lovely, but I'm still gobsmacked that he turned down my offer to cook whatever he wants! To name a few.....

Pancakes (with lots of different toppings on the table, DS favourite)
    Waffles
    Bacon, eggs, etc etc
Bacon, egg & cheese rolls with hp sauce
French toast (sweet or savoury, we have a few variations)
    Blueberry pikelets with maple
    Croque Monsieur

Oh I love cooking brekky And why haven't I thought of doing savoury toasted croissants at home? Since reading that ALL I can think about is having a ham cheese and tomato one!

I have not had my fav breaky for 4 years.

We lived in Kew and would go to Georges in Camberwell and have a BIG breakfast.

Mine was always scrambled eggs, bacon, thick toast, sauteed mushrooms, spinach and of course the hash brown. Downed with fresh OJ then followed with a latte - they use to have to roll DH and I out of there.

Now my fav breaky is one I don't have to cook myself

My fave breakfast would be DH's scrambled eggs, hollandaise or persian fetta, english muffins, smoked salmon, salmon roe and sauted spinach. A glass of pine orange and a latte.

If I wanted a fave sweet breakfast it would probably be ginger pancakes with honeycomb butter and maple syrup. And a big mug of irish breakfast or traditional afternoon tea.

OR if I'm feeling healthy... homemade grenola, fresh fruit and honey yoghurt. And white rose tea.
