When I am baking I pull them out the night before with my butter and let them come to temp.... or in an emergency situation, under the boob in the bra is ace for warming them up

Pantry. I used to put them in the fridge but once we got chickens and got a bit more information about looking after chooks and eggs I read that they last longer in the pantry. But if it was really really hot I think I'd be looking for other options also.
We keep our eggs in the fridge and I always crack into a glass before into the bowl/pan etc. One day I'll get a rotten one and regret doing it that way
That sink/float egg thing isn't foolproof - I once brought back fresh eggs from my Gran's farm and half of them floated. So I cracked the floatiest into a cup and it was fine.
So now I still do the sink/float test, and if it floats I'll break it into a cup to be sure.
Oh, and pantry. Do they really last longer in the pantry? In my experience this seems to be true, but why?
We also have chooks but with their fresh eggs, we know they are fresh and keep them on the kitchen bench as we have them for breakfast every day ( ) FRESH so they don't need to be refrigerated
