I'm making Lemon Butter today in my whizz bang contraption. Really easy Awesome on Freshly toasted bread with a nice hot cup of tea.
Oh boy, that sounds amazing Rouge. I used to make Lemon Butter with my nan as a little tacker, such lovely memories.

Any sort of old fashioned pudding...sticky date, self saucing, golden syrup dumplings, rice pudding, bread and butter pudding....I also LOVE a good fruit pie or crumble!!
You're a girl after my own heart n2l, not much stands between me and a good pudding. Golden syrup dumplings, om nom nom. Do you make them??

Other winter favourites are mac & cheese, lamb stew with herb dumplings, fish pie and anything with polenta. Baked potatoes with all the fixings. Campfire/bonfire food, like damper and toasted marshmallows. Endless cups of tea with apple tea cake or warm banana bread.

    So. Hungry.

This thread has made me drool more then my 7month old
I love a few Maltese dishes that I have learnt from MIL but Brodel (soup) and baked rice are my fav.
But I can't go past a lamb shanks cooked nice and slowly in the oven followed by apple pie or crumble.

went searching for some soup recipes and found this thread so thought i would bump it so you can drool too. i think plan for today is to make cauliflower soup (dd will usually eat this one), and maybe a chicken noodle soup with lots of vegies and ginger and herbs (this is what i want) and if i get to it some golden syrup dumplings for dessert.

love pumpkin soup, but dd is not too keen. and we used to do an awesome green soup made from broccoli and zucchini and celery and other green vegies, but i don't know if dd would be keen.
