For me, it depends on whether panadol relieves the fever? If it doesn't I'd take him within 24 hours.

I made an appointment with the Dr and then he perked up no end It costs me $61 to see the Dr and I only get about 30% back.
I don't know whether to see the Dr or not. They have a pretty strict cancellation policy at the surgery so they will still bill me for a portion of it next visit even if I do cancel.

they often do perk upduring the day, if you have to pay a lrage cancellation fee maybe take him anyway. It depends for me what the other symptoms are, eg ear ache or pussy tonsils/stink breath I will take them, if the whole family is having a run of a viral cold and have had temps with it I tend not to.

Im suprised they don't bulk bill children. Whenever I have taken my kids to a GP they always bulk bill the kids, they get an incentive payment from the government to bulk bill children under 16 and concession card holders
