I'm so glad that I'm not the only one with a child with a monster appetite. I was beginning to wonder if it was some kind of metabolic issue. He eats more than DH some days but he's a skinny little twig.
"They" warn you about teenagers with huge appetites but no-one ever told me that 7 year olds can eat your fridge bare in a day.

My DS2 (6yo) costs me AT LEAST $30 per day in food. I kid you not. He's always hungry.

    Here's a typical day's worth of food:

    Breakfast:
    2 bowls cereal and milk.
    Piece of fruit
    Chai.

    Lunchbox: (school)
    Yogurt
    Custard
    Two fruits
    Apple
    Pear
    Banana
    Roll with ham
    Piece of kabana
    Couple of twiggy sticks
    Couple of home made biscuits

    After school:
    2 bananas
    At least 500ml milk
At least 3-4 more pieces of fruit/vegies

    Dinner:
Whole chicken breast/3 sausages/2 chicken thighs
    Pasta/rice (about 1 cup, cooked)
    Heap of vegies

    Dessert:
    More fruit/vegies/home made biscuits.

Mind you, he is a very tall and relatively solid kid. Not fat, just solid. I think I'll just feed him rice and pasta as a teenager. Oh and weetbix.

His 9yo brother would survive on water and air, I'm sure!
