At my kids school they wear the Clark's Mary Janes, you know, with the strap over the top. Either velcro or buckle. Lace-ups are NOT cool (or so my 13 year old niece tells me!!). We are in Vic. I reckon it probably is geographical, which state are you in Tinks?

Geez, my DD is going to be bitterly disappointed when she hits High School! She'll be getting shoes that are good for her feet regardless of fashion!I hated when Mum said that to me!
Around here, I see a lot of girls wearing standard Clark School Shoes...or runners. Seriously. The school's don't seem to care too much but the kids all wear standard shoes. Good luck with it!
