Thanks heaps leckert! :) Went shopping today and found the food colouring and will be attempting this with DH tonight! Fingers crossed it all goes to plan, as we haven't used colouring before.

Yum!!!!!
Any chance anyone hasn't eaten these all on the day they're made so you can tell me how long they'll store for? I thought I might make cherry, peppermint, orange and coffee flavoured ones for my IL Christmas - I reckon they'd last at least a week in an airtight container in the fridge wouldn't they?
I froze a couple of batches and they defrosted really well. They were also very tasty when eaten frozen ;)
ah. Good idea
Well I know what tasty treats ill be taking to family Christmas this year! Yum!!! I might try coloring the coconut christmassy colours too...
Ooooooh definitely making these and giving everyone a box with their gifts :)
Me included hehe :)
DP loves the mint ones I make... Got to do them again for x-mas!
I make the recip from post 10 we have had them in the fridge in tupperware for up to 2mths :) mainly because I limit how many the kids can eat LOL
Making the cherry ripe, crunchie and peppermint crisp ones today. Yummy
I made the peppermint crisp one today. If DH doesn't eat them all they are a good start for gifts.
Just back from the supermarket, making these to take along on Christmas Day... Making Mint Slice, Tim Tam and White Tim Tam ones... They should last well in the fridge until then, if I lock it! PMSL
Just made mint crisp batch and a cherry ripe batch. had to do a "trial" run....
Last year I made whole batches of each type (did a double batch of the cherry ripe ones) and then mixed flavours. The coloured coconut worked well to tell different flavours although you need to put in heaps of colouring to look good
