Will have to give that a go then.
I made some today ready for my Christmas tree with chocolate ripple biscuits and two blocks of dark lindt orange chocolate. oh my they're good. Hopefully I'll be able to stay away from them long enough to construct my tree, then I won't be able to steal any!!
Made mine last night, slightly different but delicious:
1x packet choc ripple
1x packet mint slice or honeycomb biscuits
2x peppermint crisp or crunchies
1x tin sweetened condensed milk
Coconut.
I made 1 batch of peppermint & 1 batch of Crunchie the girls want to give some to DP's work mates ;)
These sound amazing! They are definitely being made in this house this year!
Made the cherry ripe balls for my work secret Santa morning tea and they were a great hit. Yummy!
So Making these on the weekend
I made the Oreo/PhillyCheese balls a few weeks ago (dipped in choc) - they were a massive hit (and I couldn't stop eating the leftovers)
Okay where's the recipe for the Philly/Oreo balls?
2 x 150 g packets Oreo biscuits
250 g cream cheese eg philli 3313
White or milk chocolate, melted (optional)
Crush biscuits, combine with room temp cream cheese, roll into balls
Dip into melted choc and let them set in the fridge
I then used a white choc icing pen to decorate
I would be making these if DP didn't have a problem with coconut. DAMN his tastebuds. Maybe I could make a batch anyway..................... no.... no. I'd just eat them all myself.
How embarassing going through the checkout with all these cherry ripe bars!!!!! Luckily they are on special :)
Oh and this peppermint crisp promo for nestle!!!! Gah!!! Anyone know any alternatives apart from mint slice biccies?
I made some orange balls using Lindt orange chocolate (two 100g blocks) so I guess you could use Lindt peppermint choc instead. The little crunchy bits in the peppermint crips add a really nice crunch though so getting an alternative with crispy bits in it would be better
oh dear.
these are super yum!
Im gonna be 3 sizes bigger after xmas
What combos are everyone going with for the cherry ripe ones? Im confused lol I have choc ripple, marie and arrowroot biccies to choose from.
Nice biscuits with my cherry ripes - that's after tea's job tonight
