Julia M Usher has a great recipe for "construction Ginger bread" I think the only real difference is that she suggests using bread flour flour as it has more "structure" and the resulting sheets of cookie will hold up better under weight.

I can't guarantee the piccies will be too awesome but we'll have fun making it. It's going to be a family event with mainly the kids doing the decorating. That said, I let the kids decorate the tree by themselves this year and they did an lovely job. They priorities handmade decorations over store bought ones and I think it looks lovely
