I've only ever come across a young single mums one & at my age I most certainly don't qualify for that. You might find that some of the women at your mums group don't have very supportive partners & you will still get to ***** about men. That's what I found anyway.
im interested. i have a mums group at the moment and they all have partners, and from what they say their partners are very supportive. kinda makes me an outcast.
the thing I found with mothers groups that have just formed is that there seems to be this pressure to be 'perfect' in every way so people can say they have wonderful babies and wonderful partners but it isn't until you get to know them that they feel safe and comfortable enough to tell the truth.

I'm in Vermont at the moment and hoping to stay in the area although that will all be up to the real estate gods at this point. I've almost been persuaded to attend my first formal Mummy's Group next Tuesday although I must admit I'm dreading it a little - and sometimes a lot - but it's just the introduction so it can't be that bad, right?
I guess it's just that now that Seth has been home for a few weeks, it occasionally sinks in how both lucky and unlucky I am to get the chance to parent alone, depending on how the day went of course.
Maybe I'll contact the Royal Women's and see if they have any info or can point me in the right direction.
I'll post back if I come up with anything useful, but FWIW, if anyone wants to get together PM and we can start our own!!
