Single Mums Playgroup...or just an IRL group in general

Is there one here in Melbourne?

I'm closely getting to the point where I can socialise again after Seth's birth and although I'm so looking forward to meeting the people in my Mummy Group, it dawned on me earlier today that everyone I know has a partner. There are things I want to ask and men I want to bash (I'm JOKING...kinda) and feel I can probably only do it with those in the same boat.

Is there a group like this anywhere -either formally set up or informally?

    Thanks,

    Shari xo

So off-topic but I just started to bawl after reading your signature. I want to literally tattoo that on my arm. Instead I'll settle for memorising it and thinking of you each time I need to summon those words.

God, I feel I just had a significant life experience, all from posting a thread you didn't even give me an answer to lol.

Agreed, brilliant quote. It's amazing how a few words can change your whole perspective.

I would also be interested in a single mothers group in Melbourne. I'm not due til mid Jan 2010 but to have others to chat to who are going through/gone through a similar thing would be awesome.

I've only ever come across a young single mums one & at my age I most certainly don't qualify for that. You might find that some of the women at your mums group don't have very supportive partners & you will still get to ***** about men. That's what I found anyway.
