Leis - are you back in the land of consciousness?
Yoohoooo Blue how are you??
Hi all!
Vicki - Hope you're off somewhere celebrating good news! Hope it went well today petal.
Hi Bec - how are you travelling?
:smt039 Hiya Sue - Hows it going travelling Sueberry?
Thanks girls for your ticker compliments. Yes, AF finally arived and I'm all systems go for starting my next cycle -despite having another stand off with the nurses over what protocol I'd be doing! :fuming: :smt062 Now I just need to get my head around jabbing again...
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Hi Girls!
yep. Im PG. HCG count of 20. Which either means that the bub is a late starter and it was just way too early to test, or I fell and I am in the middle of another misscarry. Either way not good news. I have to go back for another blood test on Tuesday to see what is going on. Unless I get AF before hand. So I gues it is Attempt number 6 coming up!! Lucky me!
Hi Vicki -that your HCG rises in leaps and bounds. Ugh, more waiting - you poor pet! More crochetting? I know its hard to stay positive but where theres hope!! :flower:
Well Vicki, I am going to say :smt038 CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Try to stay positive girl. I don't know a lot about HCG levels but there are so many stories in here about levels and the amazing things that can happen so - hang in there!!!
Blue - ah, jabbing joys. Your clinic really does need a clip around the ears. :fuming:
Yah for you Vicki, soooooo happy.
I'm not too sure on hcg levels either, but I guess any level is a level (that's what's keeping me sane at the moment) Can't wait to see your repeat test. I'm waiting for Wednesday.
Heather, keep that :smt062 going, how dare they make it difficult. Good luck.
Sue, I didn't even think about whether you'd be allowed a holiday countdown ticker. Have you checked? I'd love to see it.
Bee, hope your cycle is starting well.
Bec, I agree with what you say about time
Take care all.
Hi Tam, good luck on Wednesday!
No, I can't have a ticker.... I found this in the ticker rules
You can have:
*Links to your own, personal family and/or baby website.
*Emoticons
*Standard sized TTC/Preg Tickers - One only please. Extras will be removed as will unrelated tickers (coutdowns for other events e.g. weight loss, weddings etc). No overly sized or extra larged ticker or signature boxes.
Rats - I'd already made one with a lovely row of Turkeys!
Oh Sue, that's a big bugger.
Perhaps you can drop us hint or let us know month by month in your lovely posts.
Hi girls
Firstly before i give you the big low down on the op, a big congrats to TAM on the fab news... also Viki, i hope your HCG rises sky high.... fingers crossed honey...
Well thursdays operation started out as days surgery...... 3 days and 2 nights i am suddenly out of that place..... (Arrrrhhh they are renovating St Lukes Private, and the jack hammers were driving me bonkers....)
Dr Cooper removed all of the endo from the bladder and Right ovary BUT can you believe i need ANOTHER operation soon, for a bowel resection, as the endo is all over my bowel, and being only a gynea, he can't remove it without a bowel surgeon in theatre with him..... SO, i am now at home with a annoying cathetor hanging between my legs, and i never realised how much i enjoyed sitting and peeing on the loo!!!
BUT Dr Cooper did say that this will have no affect on my fertility once it is gone :smt023 ...
I do have to laugh, i knew i would end up in hospital for at least a night, or two, and i knew i would end up with PCA in recovery and for the first 12-24 hours... The Dr said i would only be in for a day and require only panadol ............. Wishful thinking Dr Coops!!!!
I am doing fine about it.. i think the saving grace is that i know now, i am getting to the bottom of it, and this was possible the hardest part, especially with the cathetor in... Although i nearly threw up when he said that the endo he removed was as hard as cement........ :feelsick:
Oh i can finally see light .... things are moving on... thank goodness....
hope you are all well
love and hugs
leis xxx
Leis, good to see you back with us. :flower: :flower: :flower:
Staying longer than you planned - yuk
Jackhammeritis - yuk
Catheter - yuk
Cementendo - double yuk
Priceless!!!BUT Dr Cooper did say that this will have no affect on my fertility once it is gone ...
You'll be over in that pg forum before Christmas kiddo!
Glad you're ok.
Love
Sue
Hi Leis,
So happy to hear you are finally home!
Onwards & upwards from now on![]()
Leis, glad 'stage 1' is over. Ooh about staying that long.
But true that you are getting to the bottom of things. What's the time frame of having to go back again, do they give you time to get over it? (Not sure how these things work).
And wishing the best for the all clear on the fertility side of things, woohoo.
Take care of yourself, make sure DH & anyone else you can get hold of, look after you too.
Thanks girls for your kind words
My mum has come down from QLD to be with me and help around the house. It is very awkward having this cathetor in and i feel very stiff. But i am only day 2 post op and i think i am doing quiet well. Cathetor will come down around about the 6th or 7th March... be glad for the thing to be gone...
The next operation they will do a colonoscopy first, then the op with a full resection of the bowel.. apparently the left ovary is tied up with the bowel.. mm nice.. funny i have never ever had any bowel problems. Dad was very upset when he heard i had to have another op and started blaming himself for it. He thinks spending time in the navy around petroleum products has caused the issue. I told him it wasn't his fault and to be strong like me... he was heaps better when i spoke with him today, but he is battling with his own issues at the moment with the diagnosis of his terminal cancer.
I think i will wait around about 6-8 weeks before the next op, i need time to heal mentally and psych myself up for the next anaesthetic.. those things make me way to ill...... hence the long stay in hospital....
thanks again for your kind thoughts...
love leis xxx
time for some post anaesthetic
Leis -hope your recovery is swift - ouch the catheter.
I hope your next op is 100% successful:luck: and final. Then it's back to ttc. Your strength is amazing girl :flower: . You knew your body. Don't you wish they listened in first place.
I spent time in St Lukes a long time ago (20yrs or more) and got a city view out the window. Very lonely there in a single room. When my Dad came to see I was so ahppy to see him I cried.
Leis,
Sorry to here your hospital visit was so yukky! It is however great to see things are starting to move forward for you! Also sorry to read about your dad, he sounds like a beautiful person. I hope the catheter is out very quickly and the next op is fast over,
Take care,
Bookmarks
