Not everyone gets cravings. I do occasionally, all of a sudden I really feel like an apple or a piece of chocolate. Its not an all day every day thing, just something that comes over me and never for anything wiered.

I haven't had any... and people always ask me! lol.
I've always craved chocolate, so maybe i'll just start blaming the pregnancy on that one![]()
i only had one real craving the whole pregnancy. there was food i wanted but couldn't get, and i got over it - but i was a mess at 3am one morning cos i'd dreamed of being at a bbq and having a burger, and woke up demanding DH drive to town to get me a cheeseburger!
scary thing is - i HATE macca's with a passion - would never have eaten it anyway. "town" is a 60k round trip and i refused to go with him (it was the middle of the night!) so it would have been cold. he offered every solution he could. we had rissoles so he offered to make me a home made cheese burger but i refused. in the end i was a bawling mess and told him to get me a cheese burger without the bun or the burger - in other words a piece of cheese. i ate that, half asleep - and went back to sleep never to crave anything so violently again!
my only other "i wish i could have" kinda craving was for Hedgehog Slice - but that's wasn't with the same violence and emotion by a long shot!
I never had real cravings but I always milked it anyway![]()
BG, that is hilarious!
I haven't had Ribena for, I don't know, maybe 10 years? One day I was walking home and I just needed it, so turned around, hoofed it to the shops, and bought an economy sized bottle. I also found that sometimes I didn't so much feel a need for something, but certain foods have really comforted me, like the smell of vanilla has helped me through some bad m/s.
But I know lots of people who haven't really had them. One friend had one for iced water. So they can be quite mild sort of things.
I tend to think the cravings are a bit rarer that everyone thinks. In fact it's only people who haven't had children who ask me if I've had any cravings.
Yes there have been foods that I've wanted (like potato cakes and fish and chips and yes chocolate) but I don't think these are cravings, I think I am just more inclined to let myself eat these naughty foods that I normally deny myself cos I'm pregnant.
i mean, yeh of course theres been times when i've been like "I HAVE TO HAVE SMARTIES!!!" but i mean, i was pretty much like that before haha. esp with chocolate.
and yes, i blame cravings too when i really want something.. im more inclined to get it that way :P hehe sneaky sneaky i know![]()
i never really had them either - which always made think are they real or just in our heads or and excuse to eat stuff we normal shouldnt????
However in saying that i did like strawberry milk and usually i hate that stuff - drunk it while pregnant and now wont touch it!!!
I can't say I have any cravings so far - but I seem to really enjoy soup ATM. I like soup when its winter anyway but I really really enjoy soup in fact at work that is generally what I will have for lunch, at home I sulk coz I have to have the instatnt stuff coz I am too lazy to cook![]()
I never got any cravings at all!![]()
lol,, i havent had any cravings as of yet.
I do however get an urge for a certail food at 3 am in the morning, its only happened a few times...but the other night i woke up 3am, and needed yoghurt, i just couldnt fall back asleep without yoghurt...i ended up satisfying my needs with a glass of milk, which got me to sleep lol.
With all 4 pregnancies I didnt get any cravings until after the 22 week mark...
Baby no 1 it was baked beans
Baby no 2 - eggs, in any way, shape or form
Baby no 3 - first of all it was hot chips, then later on beef stoganoff
baby no 4 - peas.....have to cook them especially as no-one in my family likes them
Nothing weird or unusual, altough I cannot eat eggs now as they give me some digestive problems! V. weird, could eat them by the dozen when preg, now cant even touch them!
I didnt have any cravings at all for most of my pregnancy, but towards the last couple of months I chewed ice all day, I just could not get enough of it (lucky our fridge made it)
I drove my husband mad crunching away on it while watching tv, I would even go into maccas and just ask for a cup of ice, they looked at me weird. I had to have it all the time, so much so that when we went to a car show I hunted down the snow cone stand and just asked for plain snow cones, they thought I was weird too but I kept them in business all day, my tongue was so numb.
Oh I hope you DO get cravings! There is NOTHING more wonderful than being able to satisfy a craving...like a big white bread roll jammed with potato chips, vegemite and cheese. Or a bowl of icecream with milo and strawberry topping, or a roll with peanut butter, turkey, cheese and carrot.
I have on several occasions CRIED with joy whilst stuffing my face.
LOL, thats exactly the same as with me....DP hates peas and so I havent had peas in like a year or more. And I love them, I just cant be bothered to buy a big packet of peas and dirty a saucepan just to cook myself a serve.
DP has warned me, if i ever serve him peas he will flick them at me with his fork lol.
It was weird cause when i met his nanna for the first time, she said the exact same thing about if anyone serves her peas, she will flick them back at em...lol...mind you shes in her 70's lol
