ok, so anyone had a boob job?

    Hi girls

Well im thinking of getting my boobs done, would like to know anyone that has had the procedure done, and any good/bad experiences, and or recommandations of a good doctor in Sydney.

I have been a A-B cup since i was 16 and in my early years before kids i really wanted bigger boobs, not huge but a nice C cup would be great.

I have had 7 kids and breastfeed them all, and really my bbs are the same as they were when i was a teenager, just more stretch marks and they hang a bit lower..lol..thats if a A cup can hang lower...lol.

I am sick of wearing padded bras and sick of tops looking horrble with my flat chest....

I told a male freind yesterday and he said why, and i told him my reasons, and he didnt even respond (and he has seen them).

So what do guys really think of them? what do they feel like?

I am still up in the air weather to get the op.

    thanks

I've never had them done, but I say after having kids, its time to do something for yourself. If it makes you feel better, go for it 100%.

My gf recently had them done. She's had 2 kids & loved her preggers boobies LOL She's really happy with them but they're new & I haven't spoken to her much about them I just noticed on facebook her pic had cleavage & her boobs before were so small that even if you had the Worlds best push up bra she still wouldn't have any cleavage, I emailed her & asked & she said she had the op & loved them

Another gf had them done back in 2006 & she loved them aswell

You deserve to feel great about yourself, if that helps then I say go for it! You only live once!

i haven't one, but a friend has, they look fantastic. She had it pre-babies and still BF her kids. When i've finished BF'ing i wouldn't mind having my boobs put back where they belong and pointing out instead of down, but i doubt i'd ever do it! I can dream though.

Perhaps I've been watching too much Dr 90210, but I would love new ones too once I have finished having kids.

Do you think pregnancy or breastfeeding makes them 'empty"?

I had great C cups, but now battle to fill a B, it is soooo depressing!

It's pregnancy, breastfeeding, gravity and old age all rolled into one in my case

Good on you for wanting to do something for yourself babe. The only issue I have with boob jobs is it's not just a 'one time thing' kwim? You have to keep getting maintanence done and my only worry is what happens if down the track something happens and you don't have the money to do the maintenance lol

    Thanks Amy

My fave topic at the moment, along with tummy tucks!

I'll be getting mine done in about 50 days, who's counting hey?

They cost about $10k, it's a day stay at private hossie. It takes about 90mins all up. I have an AA-A cup bra and have been all my life. I bf my two babies and now all they are a saggy bit of skin. My mum thinks they look like cow tits and when i show them to my friends who object in me getting them done, then agree. They are horrid. It looks ok with lots of chicken fillets or a very good push up bra but once the bra comes off the illusion disappears. I'm embarrased when my husband sees them.

The dr. says i have about 200mls in each booby, so i'll be getting a 420ml saline implant which will make me a full C cup. My dr. was against a 420ml as i have small frame. He wanted me to be a big B small C cup and i said no. I'm even think about getting 450mls, so i will discuss with him on the day of my op.

I will have mine inserted through a 2cm cut under my underarm and then pumped up to required amount. You can go back to work the next day (yeah as if), but you won't see the final results for about 6-8 weeks due to the swelling, bruising and the implants just needing to find their spot.

You can get round implants or tear drop depending on your preference. I'm going for tear drop as they will make my boobs perkier. The round implants still make your boobies sag but fill the gap between your two boobies. I have a big gap between my boobies, but still went for the tear drop shape as i want my nipples to look up rather than down. And plus a good push up bra will push them together.

My DH was so against them initially. Now he can't wait. I keep making him watch dr 90210 with me and see the final results for himslef on many flat chested women. He is as excited as i am now.

    Feel free to PM me.

After my boobies, it will be my tummy tuck.

    .

Yes to that. They only last for about 10-15 years, depending on your body and the implant.

TD, you say it costs $10k, do you get a refund from your private health fund?

Also, does your dr put the implants under or on top of the breast muscle?

    TIA.

My Mum had them done about 23yrs ago. As far as I know she hasn't had any maintenance done?

What do they do to 'maintain' them?

I remember when I found out she had them done. I was about 17 and devastated, as I thought mine might eventually be her size!

I'm thinking about getting them done when I reach 40. Mine are on the small side, but not too saggy yet. I'm a C cup, but not a nice full one! I'd actually like some lipo on my neck first. A hereditary double chin happening here!

they go under the breast muscle. does not affect bf in any way, so you can still bf.

PHI does not cover them unless they are medically required. Mine are for cosmetic purposes, so i can't claim. They are considered medically required only if you have had some form of breast trauma. PHI does not even cover the hospital side of it.

From memory, i think you can get back some of the anaethesis costs from medicare.

My tummy tuck is medically required so the dr. says so that will be about $5k

I went from not even a AA to a large B to a small C.... I LOVE them I had after DD1 but before DD2 BF DD2 for 4mths ( same amount of time as with them )so all is good there..

I have round implants under skin but NOT under muscle, I got 450 cc as I was soooooo very FLAT, my implats are saline so were put in with a small cut under the nipple around the pink bit ( sorry dont know the correct name) so cant see a scar at all, as they go in flat and fill them up once they are in...

I will have to look for a picture of my in my swimmer and up load it for you to have a look

TD that sounds like my old (.Y.) it was a very said sight indeed...

Tali, did the dr tell you how much he thought you had in your boobies? I want to get 450ml, but DH won't let me.
